Hasanistan withdraws from GUM; Royal Edict passed to prevent Hasanistan from rejoining

After cowardly efforts by the Grand Unified Micronation to suspend the observer membership of Hasanistan, the Hasani government has taken an executive decision to withdraw from the organisation and a Royal Edict was enacted by His Majesty Shahanshah Deñiz I on request of Prime Minister Çakar.
The GUM has accused Hasani citizens of being involved within vandalism on the "MicroWiki" website, although the Hasani government will provide no comment on their responsibility. The Edict, which may be read in the Hasani Archive, prohibits Hasanistan from rejoining the GUM within the future.
Following the decision, Prime Minister Çakar issued the following statement:
"The laughable and futile attempts of the so-called Grand Unified Micronational to hurt our Sublime State have been thwarted, we will leave this joke of an international organisation on our own terms. Hasanistan already saw no value in this organisation with its wasteful bureaucracy and was soon to end its membership anyway. The GUM's "embargo" and condemnation of Hasanistan will have no affect on us, as we were never dependent on this false organisation.
There is nothing "Grand" or "Unified" about this organisation, it is a union of tyrants and hypocrites. But their cowardly plots have not defeated the resolve of the Hasani Nation. To paraphrase Our Lord Allāh, the Most Compassionate and Merciful and Just, as stated in his Final Testament: 'And they schemed, and Allāh schemed against them: and Allah is the best of schemers'. These attacks by the enemies of Islam, of Christianity and of all Peoples of the Book who submit solely to God and not false Taghuts [false idols] will fail, as Allāh protects those who are his greatest followers like the Hasani. Your heroes and idols will never compare to the Shahanshah, to the architects of the Hasani Nation or the Great Patriarchs, the Prophets, the Messiah Jesus ibn Maryam and the Successors. To quote another great hero of Turan, 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World'. Some interpret this as a statement of a meek peace, but it truly meant if you wish peace than do not bring conflict to those who will retaliate. Those in GUM form an elite of the corrupt and hypocritical, but in Hasanistan, just as with our Montescanin kin, only those of great piety, great honesty, great knowledge, great merit and great submission to the will of Allāh are given the reigns of stewardship of a Nation. Let it be known to all Millets and all residents of the Sanjaks! Long Live the Shahanshah, May His Reign Be Blessed, Long Live Hasanistan and Long Live the Holy Testaments!"

Hasanistan withdraws from Konmalehth; Prime Minister Çakar steps down as Vice-Chair

Hasanistan has officially withdrew from the Konmalehth following the passage and enactment of the Konmalehth Withdrawal Act. Prime Minister Hasan Çakar has also stepped down as the Vice-Chair of Konmalehth due to Hasanistan's withdrawal.
Yesterday, the Hasani Mejlis (under the provisional government) voted in a overwhelming majority to pass the Konmalehth Withdrawal Act by 4 supports, 1 abstain and no opposition. The Act was drafted and proposed by the Prime Minister. The decision was made by Prime Minister Çakar with the agreement of His Majesty Shahanshah Deñiz I to postpone royal assent and enactment of the Act until Çakar had resigned as Vice-Chair and notified the Konmalehth of their intentions.
Çakar announced his resignation today within the Quorum of Delegates and soon later also announced the passage of the Act and Hasanistan's withdrawal in Quorum from the organisation. Montescano, which is under a personal union with Hasanistan, announced their withdrawal for similar reasons and passed a similar act within their own parliament. The Konmalehth respected the decision and Chair Stephen Freayth stated following the announcement "It is disappointing that the two member states has voted to leave. But whatever the member states have decided we will respect it." and announced special elections for the office of Vice Chair to replace Çakar.
Çakar issued the following statement to the Hasani people following the withdrawal:
"This decision was a hard choice but I do not believe Hasanistan can continue membership within the Konmalehth. The inactivity and recent backdoor rumours have made me disillusioned with the organisation and its viability. However, I wish it the best of luck and hold no ill against it. I hope to maintain friendly relations with our Konmalehth friends."

Third poll released; shows continuing trend of strong HBP lead

The results of the third and penultimate poll have been the released by the Batyr Times, showing a continued, dominating lead by incumbent Hasan Çakar's People's Unity Party. The two previous polls have shown the People's Unity Party leading the other parties by around 40%, while today's poll has revealed the largest lead in a poll by 50% (although it should be noted that this poll has also had the smallest sample size).
The poll also showed the Northern League polling at 25%, an increase in percentage points but generally consistent with how they have been shown to be polling throughout the previous polls. The Progressive Party once again polled at 0%, like in the first poll, showing a potential humiliating defeat for the party.
The official results of the poll were as follows:

  1. People's Unity Party - 3 (75%)
  2. Northern League - 1 (25%)
  3. Progressive Party - 0 (0%)
  • Other - 0 (0%)
  • Don't know - 0 (0%)
The poll had a sample size of four, the smallest of the polls so far.

Hasanistan becomes observer member of GUM

Yesterday, the Grand Unified Micronational approved Hasanistan's application to become an observer member of the organisation. The decision to join the organisation is a reversal of years of abstention from the organisation by Hasanistan, whose leadership has historically been critical of the GUM.
The Grand Unified Micronational is an international organisation of micronations, mainly based on the MicroWiki community. The organisation was founded in 2009, although it had been periodically dissolved in 2010 and 2015, and was established in its current form in 2016. The reason for Hasanistan's past opposition to organisation was mainly due to the previous hostility of the GUM to the former World Union (in 2013) and the MicroWikia community.
The GUM quorum approved the vote by 11 members in support and 3 in opposition. The opposition came from potential controversy regarding the relationship between Hasanistan and GUM member Montescano, as the two states are in a personal union under His Majesty Shahanshah Deñiz I which made some members question the degree of sovereignty that Hasanistan seperate from Montescano. Prime Minister Hasan Çakar became Hasanistan's delegate to the Grand Unified Micronational.
Hasanistan's current period of observer membership should last for three months. Prime Minister Hasan Çakar announced to the Mejlis that near the end of this period that the Mejlis shall hold a vote on renewing observer membership, seeking full membership or withdrawal. Prime Minister Çakar has also clarified that observer membership in the organisation will not affect its commitments to the Konmalehth or the Pavlovian Union.

About us

Hasanistan, officially the Federal Republic of Hasanistan (Hasani: Hasanistan Federal Jumhuriyeti), is a self-proclaimed state with territorial claims situated across the Greater Middle East region. Hasanistan has been described as a micronation or an alternative government by external observers due to its lack of international recognition and the minimal control over the regions it holds territorial claims upon.
