President issues statement reviewing the Hasanistan 2021 Vision's success

Following the end of President Hasan Çakar's 2019 political program known as the 'Hasanistan 2021 Vision', the President has issued a statement assessing the progress and success of the program. Despite some goals not being met, he has said that it was a success.

The statement read as follows:

"In 2019, I set a vision to be achieved by our tenth anniversary which would establish a new Hasanistani golden age and improve our standing in the world. Recently, the program reached its end date and thus we may assess the progress made by my government.

Hasanistan succeeded on the citizenship agenda and surpassed the original goal of 20 citizens. We have also been able to hold two legislative elections, as well as a regional election in Ardajan. Our progress on improving the website, HasanistanPedia and other e-services have also been a success and we have expanded Hasanistan's online presence. We have improved development of the uniqueness of the Hasani language, developing new scripts, and recently we finally begun the process of establishing our national currency. While we have not established relations with over thirty nations currently, we have diplomatic relations with over twenty micronations.

We shall continue to pursue some of the Hasanistan 2021 Vision agenda in 2022, with the 2022 Goals Program. These will seek to meet improve our economic and diplomatic standing, with more details to be released.

Long live Hasanistan!"

Turanfest song contest held to commemorate Hasanistan's established; Chase Mahoning wins with "abstract" entry

On 11 September, the Turanfest Song Festival was held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hasanistan's establishment on 7 September and to celebrate the culture and interests of Hasanistani citizens. The contest, modelled on the Swedish Melodifestivalen, had the public and select "expert judges" vote to decide the winning songs. It was organised, recorded and broadcast by the broadcaster Voice of Hasanistan, with Karadağ in Köktuğluk as the ceremonial host (although the event was held entirely virtually).

Sixteen songs were entered, not all were by Hasanistani artists but were rather requested to be entered. However, three songs ("Oppan Hasanistan Style", "Ik Ben Turk (Nightcore Remix)" and "Nonsense Screamed Into A Microphone") were made by Hasanistani citizens. Some of the entries, such as "Potato Pride" and "Music is Haram", were entered under fictitious names, bands or organisations.

Viewers from Hasanistan, Konraq, other Batyr Bloc states and Pavlov were allowed to vote on the songs, while expert jurors also ranked them. Scoring followed the typical 1-12 (excluding 9 and 11) points model used in Eurovision. The top 10 songs in the public vote ranked by number of votes would be allocated a score equivalent to their popular support. The full results from the broadcast of the Contest may be seen in the video below:

Chase Mahoning's "Nonsense Screamed Into the Microphone" won in an exciting battle for the top with 20 points, while "Ik Ben Turk (Nighcore Remix)" by Thisispostironicsociety come second with 19 and "Oppan Hasanistan Style (2020 Version)" by the National Orchestra come third with 18. Four entries got nil points.

Mahoning and his song will now represent Hasanistan at the 2nd Microvision Song Contest in Pinang, organised by TV Belcity. Hasanistan will appear in semi-final one, which will be held on 18 December. If Hasanistan advances, it will be in the grand final on 1 January 2022. Additionally, the runner-up song may represent Hasanistan if a "summertime" TVB Microvision is held later in 2022.

The full contest may be watched on Hasanistan's official Odysee, Minds and Bitchute accounts, although not on Youtube due to potential copyright issues.

Song festival to be held to commemorate Hasanistani tenth anniversary

A song festival and competition will be held on 11 September, four days after the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Hasanistan, to commemorate Hasanistani culture and musical tastes. The event, known as Turanfest, is inspired by the Swedish Melodifestivalen. It will hosted by the former Hasanistan Radio and Television Organisation, which has is in the process of being revived under the name "Voice of Hasanistan". The festival will also serve as Hasanistan's national selection for a song in the Winter 2022 TVB Microvision Song Contest (its second iteration), hosted this year in Pinang and organised by the national broadcaster of Belcity. The winner of the competition will participate as Hasanistan's representatives. The runner-up may also participate in a Summer edition later in 2022, if it is organised and if Hasanistan still believes that the event is active.

Between 15 and 16 songs are planned to be performed and compete in Turanfest. Not all of the songs are by Hasanistani artists, rather they were songs which were recommended by Hasanistani citizens. Notable songs this year will include a return of "Oppan Hasanistan Style" (a song which participated in a 2013 Microvision organised by the World Union), as well as new songs "Sneed's Feed and Seed" and "Ik Ben Turk (Nightcore Remix)". There are also some "surreal" entries and some songs are considered controversial.

More details about the festival will be revealed prior to its beginning, such as the voting system and the official logos. It has been confirmed that a recorded broadcast will be produced and uploaded online to be viewed, although it will not be hosted on YouTube or the Hasanistani blog due to potential copyright concerns and controversial nature of some of the songs. Live viewers from Hasanistan, Konraq, other Batyr Bloc states and Pavlov will be allowed to vote in the festival's "televoting". It was considered but rejected to allow viewers from other Microvision contestants to vote, but it was considered a potential disadvantage to let rivals in the competition decide Hasanistan's song.

Other events will be held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hasanistan, although these will yet to be revealed. No physical event has been planned this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Hasanistan will supports its citizens and foreign friends to commemorate the event privately. President Hasan Çakar states that he hopes to host physical events next year to commemorate the eleventh anniversary and tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Hasanistani website instead, if the pandemic has ended by then.
