Hasani Government statement regarding the referendum in Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government

"The Hasani Government is concerned about the recent developments within Iraq. We believe that tomorrow's independence referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan must be postponed. The priority for all parties within Iraq and its neighbours in this moment must be the fight against Daesh terrorists and to re-establish stability in Iraq following the three-year war in country against Daesh terrorist organization.
This referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan is being held unilaterally and has the potential to escalate to an armed conflict between the central Iraqi government and the Iraqi Kurds and continue the death and destruction that Iraq has faced for the past three years. We ask all involved parties to postpone this referendum until the fight against Daesh is finished and to enter negotiations rather than acting unilaterally.
We are especially concerned about the status of the Kirkuk and Nineveh plains in regards to the situation, both being the biggest potential flashpoints in the region, and the treatment of minorities such as Turkmens, Assyrians and Arabs in the two regions by the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government.
Thus, Hasanistan calls upon all involved parties to de-escalate the situation by postponing the referendum and entering negotiations while concentrating on completing the fight against Daesh."
-Hasan Çakar, Provisional Head of State of Hasanistan

Hasanistan secedes from Nedlando-Khorashan; adopts new Constitution on its sixth anniversary

Hasanistan has unilaterally seceded from Nedlando-Khorashan and has adopted a new Constitution on the sixth anniversary of the nation's establishment.
Hasanistan secession from Nedlando-Khorashan has been because of the state's instability and inactivity. Many Hasanis felt dissatisfied with the union, which has been unstable since its establishment, and Vali Hasan Çakar himself opposed the union of Nedland and Khorashan. Hasanistan joined Nedlando-Khorashan on the day of its establishment, 23 August, as part of Khorashan.
Vali Hasan Çakar has said that Hasanistan wishes to maintain a good relationship with Nedland and Khorashan regardless of the secession, but has also said that the future of the united state is dim.
As Hasanistan has seceded, a new Constitution has been written for this new incarnation of Hasanistan. The Constitution, which is Hasanistan's fourth, has took the "best elements" of all three previous Constitutions but Vali Hasan Çakar has also said that the Constitution will return Hasanistan to its founding ideals. The Constitution shall be published tomorrow.
An acting government shall be established to govern Hasanistan until an elected government is established. Elections are expected to be held between November 2017 and January 2018.
