Currency referendum held; full results revealed

Yesterday, Hasanistanis voted in a five-question referendum on the nature of a future currency. A long-debated issue in Hasanistan, the country has never had a formal currency while independent and has been a issue that has been pushed for by politicians like Shady Morsi for a while. The referendum had 9 out of 14 eligible voters turnout, meaning that a referendum had a turnout of 64.29%.

The questions of the referendum were on whether Hasanistan would adopt its own national or foreign currency, what the name of a hypothetical national currency would be, what its value would be tied to, whether it would be physical or virtual and if autonomous regions should have the right to their own national currency.

The final results shown a majority for Hasanistan having its own currency, known as the Hasani, which would be virtual and the sole legal tender in the country. However, opinions were split on how the currency would be valued (such as whether it would be pegged to another currency, a commodity or labour value).

President Hasan Çakar stated following the results: "The results set a clear guideline for how a national currency should be established and we will follow through with what the people of Hasanistan want as promised during the last election and legally required. We are working with the Government of Brennonia and the Micronational Blockchain Foundation on developing our national currency. This debate has finally been settled".

Eniakist Party established

The Eniakist Party of Hasanistan has been established, becoming the eighth currently existing political party in the country. The Eniakist Party follows the ideology of Eniakism, which originates from Mahuset and was theorised by the nation's founder.

Eniakism is a controversial ideology in Hasanistan, as Hasanistan was once opposed to it during a period of its perceived spread in the early 2010s and President Hasan Çakar compared this so-called "Eniak Era" to the spread of communism after World War I. However, attitudes to Eniakism have improved and the Hasanistani government now sees it as a useful tool in the fight against the reactionary Hegro/Grindr model zealots of the Feudalist Party. Following its founding, it has declared that it is a partner in an alliance with the ruling People's Unity Party and supports the government.

The Hasanistani Eniakist Party is a "anti-revisionist" Eniakist party of Emiloist-XOist Thought, rejecting the so-called "neo-Eniakism" of Mouzilo's National Eniakist Party for being pro-Ashukov and anti-hentai. The HEP states that its main beliefs are deregulation of the anime (including the idea that Crunchyroll is theft), Rem is best waifu, anti-GUM, anti-Ashukovo, anti-G(ay)reek, anti-Adammia, anti-Bainbridge, anti-feudalism, anti-Nedlandic, anti-Ryukyuan, anti-German, anti-Ethiopian, pro-Mahuset, pro-Turan and pro-Sharia. It also wants Hasanistan to support Mahuset in fully purging the territory of Virgo of any Ashukov or Mouzeliot influence by using nuclear weapons on Mouzilo and the house of Manu II, as well as a full investigation into the mysterious founder of Mouzilo Manu I who may be tied to the Joe Biden-Pavle Savovic deep state.
