Min Dai becomes 2nd Supreme Leader!!!

Tanju Çakar, after winning his second term, has finally chose his head of government. Owen Lam (Tanju's main choice) declined the position and instead was interested in the Supreme Judge position. Either Min Dai or Connor Nightingale were expected to be chosen as Hasan Çakar stated no interest in the position and Tanju did not want a rival as the head of government. Although Tanju attempted to make the Supreme Leader an electable post, the Temporary Council voted against the proposal. Today, Tanju Çakar told Hasan Çakar that he has finally decided Min Dai would be his Supreme Leader. The Temporary Council may possibly hold one last meeting with the new Supreme Leader present as the new Supreme Council and Guild Council will be established soon.

Tanju Çakar has two more years after close election finishes in victory!!!

Tanju Çakar has won his second term as President after two rounds of close elections. This election, which has had the lowest turn-out of the three election that have happened, had been a close race and the first round saw a shock as Shady Hosam Morsi almost won the election although expected to finish last. The Islamic Party's candidate Muhammed Açikran was knocked out as it did not have enough votes and the second round began. In a tense second round, Tanju Çakar just edged over Shady Hosam Morsi. After winning the election Tanju gave this statement:

"Before I say anything else, I would like to thank everyone who voted, whether they helped get me in office or they voted for another candidate. I would also like to thank the other candidates, Muhammed and Shady. Hasanistan is a strong and growing nation and I hope to represent them to the best of my ability in both micronational, domestic and international matters. Under my administration, Hasanistan be in a position where our people will be in a position where we can be free from the whims of the powerful. My first change will be a radical restructuring of the Supreme Council and the creation of a Guild Council to represent industry and workers. I will also try to push for a referendum for a "Article 9" for Hasanistan, prohibiting war for reasons other than self-defence."

"Thank you for all support and votes we failed but we did better then the batyr prime elections congrations Tanju Çakar"

Hasan Çakar will step down as Supreme Leader, to become Foreign Affairs Minister, so Tanju will have to select a new Supreme Leader for head of government however there are plans that he may hold an election for Supreme Leader. The Supreme Council will be dissolved while the new Supreme Council and Guild Council are being established however a temporary parliament will still be in place. This parliament will have it's first meeting today and Shady Hosam Morsi, Tanju Çakar, Hasan Çakar and possibly Min Dai and Owen Lam will be present.
Congratulations Tanju!!!

2nd Presidential Election starts in Hasanistan!!!

Today, the second Hasani presidential election and third election in Hasanistan to be held since the end of the single-party era will decide who will be Hasanistan's next president.
The first candidate is current president and Progressive Party leader Tanju Çakar, who in his two years in the office legalized Marijuana aswell as introducing a discrimination act and universal income. He plans (if he wins the election) to form a Guild Council and reform the Supreme Council, to devolve the government and give the primates more authority and to make Hasanistan sign the pro-LGBT Leveria Treaty aswell as many other things.
The second candidate is Shady Hosam Morsi, Independence Party leader and Prime of North Hasanistan, who previously ran in the Batyr Prime Elections before switching to North Hasanistan. As an ethnic Derskovian, which has a majority in North Hasanistan, he is trying to put North Hasani interests first including a referendum on autonomy/independence and open borders with Derskov-Viadalvia (which shares a border with Hasanistan through the Derskov territory of Konraq).
The third and final candidate is Muhammed Açikran, who is a member of the Islamic Party. He has not openly spoke about his plan except support for Palestine in the recent Gaza Conflict.
The Nomad Party (which has not sent a candidate) has been expected to side with the Progressive Party or the Independence Party. The Progressive Party is expected to win.

Progressive Party's manifesto!!!

The Progressive Party aims to create a nation where neither capitalist nor state has excessive control and people can live their lives without interference.
  1. A referendum on a Hasani 'Article 9', forbidding war for reasons other than self-defence.
  2. A liberal drug policy of legalisation and regulation of currently illegal substances for recreational use.
  3. Make Hasanistan a leader in STEM fields by creating technical and research-intensive universities and create a system of technology grants and tax credits for businesses (both private and public-owned) in Hasanistan.
  4. Introduce a living wage and pro-worker labour laws as well as legalise trade unions. Workers will also be able to create self-organised enterprises in the form of syndicates and co-operatives.
  5. A radical restructuring of the Supreme Council will take place that will involve a reduction in the number of ministries and the creation of a Guild Council to represent the interests of workers and industry and pass laws and regulation that affects them.
  6. Increased federalisation of Hasani territory, giving Primes more power over their constituencies, while still allowing a somewhat centralised system of governance with laws still decided on the national level.

About us

Hasanistan, officially the Federal Republic of Hasanistan (Hasani: Hasanistan Federal Jumhuriyeti), is a self-proclaimed state with territorial claims situated across the Greater Middle East region. Hasanistan has been described as a micronation or an alternative government by external observers due to its lack of international recognition and the minimal control over the regions it holds territorial claims upon.
