Former monarch drops pretender claim under government pressure

The former, and exiled, Shahanshah of Hasanistan known as Dionisiy in Montescano, today renounced the pretender claim to the throne of Hasanistan (which he had claimed since October 2016 as ruler of Pavlov, but had been formally abolished on 26 April) following pressure from the Government of Hasanistan. The Naib-i-Şehinşah and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar issued a statement to the exiled monarch, declaring a 48-hour ultimatum (without specified threat, although later confirmed as a bluff) and demanding that he give up his pretender claim. During a heated discussion, the Prime Minister reduced the time period of the ultimatum to 24-hours to put greater pressure on the former Shahanshah. Soon after, Dionisiy finally agreed to drop the title.
Hasan Çakar stated following the event: "We have re-established the fact that there is only one legitimate authority and head of Hasanistan, as stated in its Constitution and supported by all its citizens, and that the relics of Pavlov have been fully discarded. We have also proved our geopolitical might and that, despite our neutrality, we have the power projection to defend and protect our interests".

Statement on crisis in Konraq

Following an alleged coup attempt in the enclave of Konraq by the ex-regent known as 'Mohammed Boky' against the Habdaminah monarchy, after which he declared himself Khan, a political crisis has emerged in the state. This has now led to a dispute between Boky's new government and Habdaminah's loyalist government-in-exile. Naib-i-Şehinşah and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar has issued following statement on matter, declaring Hasanistan's neutrality and support for the resolution of the conflict, but also warning against foreign interference. This came after a letter from the Konraqis asked Hasanistan to stay neutral and promised not to spread the dispute into Hasanistan (especially the region of Ardajan).
The statement read:
"Hasanistan is very concerned about the crisis in Konraq and we hope there will be peace soon. We will stay neutral and not interfere in this matter, we respect Konraq's independence and sovereignty. All we shall say is that we advise all sides to go to negotiating table and reach a solution that brings peace and respects the rights of the Konraqi people. We are also thankful all sides do not wish to spread conflict to Hasanistan, especially Ardajan, and want to continue friendly diplomatic relations. However, we should also mention we are concerned about potential foreign involvement in this crisis. Hasanistan will not accept geopolitical games on its borders, especially if these foreign actors will promote separatism in Hasanistan in future."

Hasanistan and Cormac reform relationship; negotiations begin regarding new arrangements

Hasanistan and the Free Parish of Cormac, formerly known as Nordhorn or Jurijev, have mutually agreed to end their relationship of "free association" and set up a new relationship of friendly bilateral relations between two fully-sovereign independent states. The decision has come following Hasanistan's reestablishment of its neutrality, which may have contradicted with the free association agreement in the future, and after Cormac had interest in pursuing interests of its own separate of Hasanistan.
The two states will continue to maintain diplomatic relations, including mutual recognition, and negotiations will be held to draft an agreement maintaining close ties despite their split from the free association arrangement. This will potentially include privileges such as visa-free travel, free trade and other similar mechanisms to maintain close ties, but without military commitments or integration.

Northern League renames as Democratic Party of Ardajan following merger

Yesterday, leader of the Northern League Shady Morsi announced that his party has been renamed as the "Democratic Party of Hasanistan" following a merger with the unregistered radical separatist Ardajani United Front for National Salvation led by Kevin Vanhaar, a splinter of the Northern League originally founded on 11 May by the party's separatist "old guard". This is the second name change in the party's history, having previously been renamed as the Northern League in 2017 from its original name of the "Hasanistan Independence Party". The central Hasani government is concerned the party will return to promoting secessionist and communal tensions after its merger with the AUFNS.

Nomad Party renamed People's Unity Party; confirms standing candidates

The Nomad Party has today announced that it will return to using the name "People's Unity Party", after having previously returned to the name "Nomad Party" in March, stating that the initial name change had not been effective and the "People's Unity Party" name represents its ideology more.
In addition to the name change, the People's Unity Party confirmed it would stand candidates in the November elections. However, some have speculated the party might perform worse than previously, due to new parties appearing and potentially taking votes away from its support base.

Response of Hasan Çakar to "ONN" article

Following an article by the Occitanian ONN news website, stating the view of Nova-Occitania that Hasanistan's head of state and government is anti-Semitic" and a "vandal", Hasan Çakar has issued his own response which has been published by the Batyr Times. Due to controversies and accusations made previously against the Batyr Times also, we must clarify this is the opinions that are simply being transmitted and not held by the news source itself. The response reads as follow:
"It seems once again the Nova-Occitanian strongman Chkaya has been attacking Hasanistan to gather support from his loyal base of hyper-partisan supporters in his country and the GUM axis of Satanism and evil, much like his heroes Bandera and Benjamin Netanyahu who also use populist rhetoric against nations who stray from the destructive agenda of the international capitalo-hedonist industrial complex to gather support from imperialist regimes and keep their oppressed populations in line. However, I will once against tell the truth and refute one-by-one these accusations, as I did against others.
So, firstly, once again for criticising the Zionist regime I am accused of anti-Semitism. First of all, I did not mean Nova-Occitania's Jewish population. Maybe Chkaya should read the laws of Hasanistan, Jews have more rights in Hasanistan than Nova-Occitania. Their religious courts, religious marriages and freedom to practice is respected. In such a case, I should be condemning Nova-Occitania for not giving its own Jews enough rights. I personally have good relations with many Jewish people. I do not hate Jews, I am critical of the "Jewish state" and sometimes aspects of Jewish religious fundamentalism but that does not mean anti-Semitism. The claim I am an anti-Semite originates from him and his puppet Ivanna Minaïeva.
Now, Chkaya disputes the accusation of himself as an ultra-Zionist and wonders why I call him that. Well, one only has to look at the social media posts of Nova-Occitania to see the nation's support for the regime that brutally oppresses of Palestine and support for Zionist expansionism in the Middle East (archived here in case he deletes his tweets after to save face). He obviously holds ultra-Zionistic views and supports the crypto-fascist Israeli regime. Which is no surprise, judging by his own ruling style. Of course, he should know that he proves that being called out on this annoys him so I will call it him more.
Then the vandalism accusation comes up again, I don't think I need to comment on this. I look forward to see his regime's corrupt judiciary's report on the matter so I can laugh at the joke that is called "justice" in Nova-Occitania. Regurgitating the lies of the top-hatted fool does not make his claims any more legitimate. Also, in regard to my criticisms of the GUM in regards to electoral fraud, they and their supporters have indeed rigged elections but for certain reasons I'd prefer not to go into detail. However, let me just say that a very recent event was proof of this. Also, I have been anti-GUM for a long time, since 2013, just ask any international leader who has known me long enough.
All this shows is that Nova-Occitania's "free press" is a sham and just another mouthpiece of the Chkaya regime to spread its neoliberal, Zionist and fascistic agenda. ONN news agency is not a reputable micronational news agency, like the Batyr Times, Courant van Lazia or Russia Today. Now, release that report so we can expose the corruption in your judiciary for what it is!"

Sixth Constitution and new law regarding system of government passed

The Mejlis has passed the new Constitution and a law concerning Hasanistan's system of government to establish the new Hasanistani state and replace the outdated monarchist constitution. The law was voted on within a Mejlis, which had expanded following the return of two people to four members, but saw low turnout with only two people voting. Both the Constitution and the "System of Government Act 2020" were approved by 2 votes and no opposition or abstention.
The Constitution establishes the basic principles and tenets of the state and its attributes (such as that it shall be neutral state, which was omitted from the Fifth Constitution), describes the rights and duties of the people (none of which have changed from previous Constitutions), the nature of Hasani governance and other such matters. Unlike previous Constitution, while describing the principles of system of government within Hasanistan (that it shall be democratic, respect the rule of law and have an independent judiciary) it does not establish a set system of government. This decision was made to allow more flexibility for the future Governments of Hasanistan to restructure based on their needs and situation. This constitution is the sixth in Hasanistan's history.
The System of Government Act 2020 is a law which directly describes how Hasanistan's system of governance shall function following the secession from Montescano and the adoption of the new Constitution. Hasanistan has been confirmed to be returning to republican governance, which was set in motion after the abolition of the monarchy on 26 April. The new head of state shall be the President, while the Prime Minister shall maintain its place as head of government. However, it shall retain the name the "Sublime State of Hasanistan". The executive has returned to its traditional name of "Supreme Council". The legislature will become a bicameral entity known as the "National Parliament", with the Mejlis of Knowledgeable People as the appointed upper house and the Consultative Mejlis as the elected lower house. Hasanistan shall continue being a unitary state, with autonomy for Sridjina and Ardajan, with a new system of administrative divisions being established. The judiciary shall maintain, at least for now, under control of feudal nobles, although their local executive and legislative powers have been removed. The Millet System will be retained. The Act also establishes and describes the mechanisms for elections and declarations of war.
Although the Constitution and the Act will become law immediately, elements of the current system shall be retained until elections. The Naib-i-Şehinşah shall continue being the office of head of state until elections have been held, and the "Rump Mejlis" shall continue serving as the legislature until that time. The elections themselves, which were confirmed to still be taking place earlier this month, are being prepared and an announcement will be made soon.
The new Constitution can be read here and the System of Government Act 2020 can be read here.

Coronavirus restrictions to be reviewed; update regarding suspected coronavirus case

The Hasani government has said that the Mejlis will review the restrictions placed by the CPMC Act in the coming days and some of them may be lifted. This possibility comes as many countries around the world reach the peak of infection rates and they begin to fall, the time has begun to start re-opening society in a slow and careful manner guided by scientific advise to ensure life can go back to normal. However, the Hasani government still advises caution, common sense measures, basic hygiene and avoid creating crowds.
An update has also been given about the suspected case among a Hasanistani citizen in April, saying that he fully recovered from symptoms soon after the suspected case was reported. No additional cases were reported or suspected at the time, and none have been reported since.

Rump Mejlis reformed; November elections confirmed to still take place

A "rump Mejlis" composed of the remnants of the Mejlis has been reformed, following the ambigious state that it was left in following Hasanistan's secession from Montescano. The "rump Mejlis" is composed of two out of the five former members, with the other three members being either some of whom that left immediately after secession or others who have been pressured by the Montescanin regime to stay within Montescano due to its belligerent prohibition of holding dual Hasani-Montescanin citizenship. The Mejlis will now return to hold sessions, with the Naib-i-Şehinşah to return to his function as Prime Minister, gradually phase out the powers of the office of Naib-i-Şehinşah and promote the usage of the Mejlis to pass laws rather than by decree. The reformation of the Mejlis has come following indication that the new Constitution has almost been completed.
In addition, the planned November elections are confirmed to still be going ahead although they may take a different form than they would have done originally due to potential re-structuring of the government. The Naib-i-Şehinşah has stated regarding this "We are still discussing which electoral systems would be most practical to be used, but they are still happening and the date will only be changed due to potential negative affects of the coronavirus pandemic".

Jurijev reformed into Free Parish of Cormac

The now-independent territory of Jurijev, which seceded from Montescano regime alongside Hasanistan, has reformed into the Free Parish of Cormac. The Free Parish of Cormac shall be an independent delegative democracy ruled by an elected Mayor, although the office shall be held by the former Count of Jurijev until elections are run. Cormac's stated mission goal is "to preserve Cormac's natural environment, conserve local wildlife and reduce all types of pollution".
Cormac was declared as being in free association with Hasanistan and allowing it to act on behalf of Cormac regarding foreign policy and military defence, which is an arrangement that intends to be maintained, although Hasanistan also looks to potentially re-establish its policy of neutrality and the situation will have to be reviewed and formed in a way that is compatible with that.
