Hasanistan signs "historic" agreement with Konraq-Kökqoyunlu

Today, neighbours Hasanistan and the State Union of Konraq and Kökqoyunlu ratified a treaty to enhance their already-close bilateral relations. The agreement expanded the so-called "Batyraq Pact" (not to be confused with the Batyr Bloc) to include open borders in the Greater Hasanistan region, a free trade area and cooperation in science, intelligence and aviation. President of the State Union Sebas Güneştarlası has described the agreement as "historic".

Konraq was formed in 2013 as a territory of Viadalvia. In 2016, the area was handed to Pavlov by Dachenia who had organised it under Hasanistan (at the time under direct Pavlovian administration, until 2017). The area was given independence from Hasanistan in 2018 amicably, with the two establishing the "Batyraq mutual defence pact" to defend the region from foreign interference. There had been fears in the past two years that Batyraq had become irrelevant, as Konraq faced political disturbances. However, following Konraq's stabilisation, enthusiasm over the Pact returned. Recently, the two allowed free movement of citizens through domestic legislation.

The "Enhanced Agreement on Eternal Friendship and Cooperation in the Greater Hasanistan Region" signed today has strengthened these close ties and sought to build them more in certain areas. The Pact established fully open borders for civilians and has also granted residents of the other the right to vote in all elections under the "Greater Hasanistan Free Travel Area". A free trade agreement was also reached where there would be no tariffs on any goods traded between the two countries, although it did not establish a customs union like Hasanistan has with Pavlov. The two also agreed generous regulations for flying between the two countries, despite the fact that flight is the least likely method of cross-border transportation. Finally, the two agreed on cooperation in various scientific, technological and intellgence programs.

The governance of Batyraq was also reformed. Before, it was overseen by a rotating presidency between the leaders of the two nations. However, now a Commission composed of their respective heads of state and government has been established. The leader of the State Union will be Chairman, while the Hasani President will be Vice-Chairman. His Imperial Majesty Shahanshah Iskender IV was granted the honorary leadership of the Pact by being appointed the Paramount Leader of Greater Hasanistan. An inter-parliamentary body has also been established to advise the Commission and strengthen political ties, known as Parliamentary Assembly of the Batyraq Pact.

The Batyraq duo has also agreed to build strong relations with the Mahusetan territories in the Greater Hasanistan region, Starnia and Virgo. They have also been offered to become partners in the Pact, although this has been speculated to be unlikely. President Hasan Çakar has said he hopes to talk with the Mahusetan Hasanistani Office for Intra-Hasanistani Affairs about the new agreement.

The full treaty may be read here.

Hasanistan fails to reach 2nd TVB Microvision final

The Hasanistani entry in the second edition of the TVB Microvision Song Contest, an intermicronation song festival similar to Eurovision organised by Televisione Belcitese (TVB) from the Republic of Belcity. This year's edition is hosted by the Pinangese Republic who won the previous and inaguaral edition earlier this year.

Hasanistan's entry "Nonsense Screamed Into The Microphone" by Chase Mahoning is an avant-garde piece, having qualified by winning the this year's Turanfest Festival earlier. Despite high hopes, the song finished last in its semi-final with only twelve points. However, it received a high seven points from one of the delegate juries. Leopoldinsel, Indradhanush, Revalia, Scone Kingdom, Istria, Greater Greek Empire, Vodopol and Bavarian Colony of Saarland were the countries who entries successfully qualified for the final scheduled for New Year's Dat. Monteberg, Saengrummet, Mooreonia and the United Authorities also failed to advance in this semi-final.

In addition to its participation as a competitor, the Voice of Hasanistan has also provided support for international broadcasting and will seek to collaborate to develop a stream of the final. Hasanistan has also confirmed that it will participate in the 3rd Microvision, hoping to reach the final next time.

2022 general election called and date decided; Hasan Çakar not to run again as President

President Hasan Çakar has issued a presidential decree, setting the date for the upcoming 2022 general election. Elections are due to be held next year as the term of the Presidency and current Mejlis dissolve, although the election will be scheduled earlier than expected being held on 5 February 2022 rather than in November.

The general election will see Hasanistani citizens vote for the President and four seats in the lower house of the National Parliament. While the instant-runoff method for electing the Presidency will be used again from the previous election, the legislative election will now use a multiple block voting system similar to what is used in the Falklands Islands. This was due to November 2020's election system being criticised for its complexity.

It is expected that many significant politican figures will not seek re-election, with Natsuki Hegro having retired from Hasanistan (the Feudalist Party has also dissolved). Shady Morsi has also announced he will not stand as a candidate for President next year, although he is considering running again for the Mejlis. Most significant of all however will be the incumbent President and founder, who has announced he will not seek another term as President. On the matter, the President said "I must resign to prevent a return to dictatorship and allow our institutions to develop". However, he will continue to still have a political role as Başbuğ.

It is believed that current Prime Minister Chase Mahoning will seek to succeed Hasan Çakar. Other rumoured potential candidates include former Presidents Asghar and Tanju. The Ambassador to India and head of the Pavlovian Orthodox Church have also been speculated.

On 21 November, Brennonians went to the polls in their first national election since the formation of their country in 2019. The legislative elections were limited in the number of seats, only two, being chosen and two currently-serving deputies did not need to stand. The candidates in the election were left-wing populist Shady Morsi, self-described centre-right conservative Tobey Wyles and "resident ideologist" Ned O'Brien.

The election used a multiple non-transferable vote system to elect the two deputies, meaning citizens had to select their two preferred candidates of the three. Citizens of Mahuset and Hasanistan resident in Brennonia were eligible to vote. The results of the election were as follows (no information on turnout was available, although there were a total of 10 voters):

  1. Shady Morsi - 8 votes (elected)
  2. Tobey W - 6 votes (tie)
  3. Ned O'Brien - 6 votes (tie)

Due to the tie for the second seat betwene Wyles and O'Brien, the King decided who of two were to become a deputy. He later chose Tobey Wyles.

Following the election, the newly-elected deputies were immediately acceded to their positions.

Turanfest song contest held to commemorate Hasanistan's established; Chase Mahoning wins with "abstract" entry

On 11 September, the Turanfest Song Festival was held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hasanistan's establishment on 7 September and to celebrate the culture and interests of Hasanistani citizens. The contest, modelled on the Swedish Melodifestivalen, had the public and select "expert judges" vote to decide the winning songs. It was organised, recorded and broadcast by the broadcaster Voice of Hasanistan, with Karadağ in Köktuğluk as the ceremonial host (although the event was held entirely virtually).

Sixteen songs were entered, not all were by Hasanistani artists but were rather requested to be entered. However, three songs ("Oppan Hasanistan Style", "Ik Ben Turk (Nightcore Remix)" and "Nonsense Screamed Into A Microphone") were made by Hasanistani citizens. Some of the entries, such as "Potato Pride" and "Music is Haram", were entered under fictitious names, bands or organisations.

Viewers from Hasanistan, Konraq, other Batyr Bloc states and Pavlov were allowed to vote on the songs, while expert jurors also ranked them. Scoring followed the typical 1-12 (excluding 9 and 11) points model used in Eurovision. The top 10 songs in the public vote ranked by number of votes would be allocated a score equivalent to their popular support. The full results from the broadcast of the Contest may be seen in the video below:

Chase Mahoning's "Nonsense Screamed Into the Microphone" won in an exciting battle for the top with 20 points, while "Ik Ben Turk (Nighcore Remix)" by Thisispostironicsociety come second with 19 and "Oppan Hasanistan Style (2020 Version)" by the National Orchestra come third with 18. Four entries got nil points.

Mahoning and his song will now represent Hasanistan at the 2nd Microvision Song Contest in Pinang, organised by TV Belcity. Hasanistan will appear in semi-final one, which will be held on 18 December. If Hasanistan advances, it will be in the grand final on 1 January 2022. Additionally, the runner-up song may represent Hasanistan if a "summertime" TVB Microvision is held later in 2022.

The full contest may be watched on Hasanistan's official Odysee, Minds and Bitchute accounts, although not on Youtube due to potential copyright issues.

Song festival to be held to commemorate Hasanistani tenth anniversary

A song festival and competition will be held on 11 September, four days after the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Hasanistan, to commemorate Hasanistani culture and musical tastes. The event, known as Turanfest, is inspired by the Swedish Melodifestivalen. It will hosted by the former Hasanistan Radio and Television Organisation, which has is in the process of being revived under the name "Voice of Hasanistan". The festival will also serve as Hasanistan's national selection for a song in the Winter 2022 TVB Microvision Song Contest (its second iteration), hosted this year in Pinang and organised by the national broadcaster of Belcity. The winner of the competition will participate as Hasanistan's representatives. The runner-up may also participate in a Summer edition later in 2022, if it is organised and if Hasanistan still believes that the event is active.

Between 15 and 16 songs are planned to be performed and compete in Turanfest. Not all of the songs are by Hasanistani artists, rather they were songs which were recommended by Hasanistani citizens. Notable songs this year will include a return of "Oppan Hasanistan Style" (a song which participated in a 2013 Microvision organised by the World Union), as well as new songs "Sneed's Feed and Seed" and "Ik Ben Turk (Nightcore Remix)". There are also some "surreal" entries and some songs are considered controversial.

More details about the festival will be revealed prior to its beginning, such as the voting system and the official logos. It has been confirmed that a recorded broadcast will be produced and uploaded online to be viewed, although it will not be hosted on YouTube or the Hasanistani blog due to potential copyright concerns and controversial nature of some of the songs. Live viewers from Hasanistan, Konraq, other Batyr Bloc states and Pavlov will be allowed to vote in the festival's "televoting". It was considered but rejected to allow viewers from other Microvision contestants to vote, but it was considered a potential disadvantage to let rivals in the competition decide Hasanistan's song.

Other events will be held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hasanistan, although these will yet to be revealed. No physical event has been planned this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Hasanistan will supports its citizens and foreign friends to commemorate the event privately. President Hasan Çakar states that he hopes to host physical events next year to commemorate the eleventh anniversary and tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Hasanistani website instead, if the pandemic has ended by then.

National Parliament passes law implementing terms of treaty with Pavlov

The Consultative Mejlis has passed the "Implementation of the Treaty of Eternal Alliance and the Acceptance of Socius Status Between the Empire of Pavlov and the Sublime State of Hasanistan Act 2021", an act which implements the terms of the Treaty of Eternal Alliance and Socius Status with Pavlov and makes changes to simplify Hasanistani bureaucracy in line with the constitutional changes regarding the return of the Shahanshah. The act was passed in a low-turnout vote with 1 support from the sole deputy present, although the other deputies have not publicly expressed any opposition since its passage.

The Shahanshah has been returned powers which were granted to him under his previous rule, such as the right to issue royal edicts and decrees, and has been made the head of judiciary again which has been a role which Iskender IV has previously fulfilled in past Hasanistani governments. The judicial system has returned to the previous Sublime State model of local nobles becoming judges, with them also becoming as the local heads of local government as elected head offices at the local-level have been abolished. Elected assemblies at the local-level may still exist if they meet the conditions as previously established in the 2nd System of Government Act.

The powers and responsibilities of the new office of Başbuğ have also been defined, giving the office the ability to exercise powers of the Shahanshah with their permission. The succession of the Başbuğ has also been established, with it being the right to be held by members of founder Hasan Çakar's family (and his pet cat). The successor to the Başbuğ if they are no longer able to serve will be declared while they are still in office, with Hasan Çakar selecting his cat Kasper as his first preference successor followed by his brother and former President Tanju as second successor and his cousin Mohamet as third successor. In case no eligible candidate exists, it has been specified that the office will either be abolished or given to the descendent of specific individuals.

The legislative and executive branches have also been reformed again, the National Parliament returning to a bicameral model rather than the current tricameral model. The Mejlis of Knowledgeable Peoples has been dissolved, with the Vandal Mejlis being upgraded to the upper house and taking over its legislative review powers but will still maintain the Vandal Mejlis' previous other limited legislative power. The Consultative Mejlis will be renamed to the Mejlis of the People (Mejlis-i Halk) and the term length of deputies there has been increased to two years rather than just one. The Supreme Council has been renamed to the Divan, with ministries also being renamed to vizierates. The office of Prime Minister has been renamed to Head Vizier, although it and the President shall maintain all their current powers.

In light of the new changes, the act additionally renews Ardajan's autonomy and gives it more powers than previously. However, autonomy in Sridjina has been abolished and it will become a unitary state of Hasanistan. Also, regulations regarding the new official religious status for Islam and Pavlovian Orthodoxy has been implemented and their clergy has been given some power over personal laws.

The full law may be read here.

Hasanistan restores relations with Pavlov; establishes "Socius Status"

The Empire of Pavlov has ratified a Treaty of Eternal Alliance and Acceptance of Socius Status with the Sublime State of Hasanistan, in addition to returning His Imperial Majesty Alexander IV to the Hasanistani throne as Shahanshah, in a move to fully reconcile and re-establish a close partnership between the two historic brotherly nations following a rift in April 2020. Hasanistan shall become a socii state of Pavlov and re-enter its sphere of influence, agreeing to develop a shared political and cultural space.

The most significant aspect of the agreement are the return of the institution of the Shahanshah and the re-establishment of the personal union between Pavlov and Hasanistan under His Imperial Majesty, including the end of his and the Royal Family's "exile" which had been declared by the Hasanistani government and the restoration of most titles which were unilaterally declared abolished when Hasanistan declared itself as a Commonwealth. Pavlov has in turn recognised President Hasan Çakar's role as founder of Hasanistan, granting him the traditional Turkic title of Başbuğ in acknowledgement of this. His Imperial Majesty has been returned significant power within Hasanistan, although the treaty agreed that outside of the scope of granting noble titles that the Başbuğ would exercise most monarchic responsibilities on his behalf.

The establishment of the socius status of Hasanistan marks the return of the country's place in the Greater Pavlovian Nation, although seeks to develop a new constitutional relationship which will not suffer from the past's points of tension. Hasanistan will remain a significant degree of independence under the arrangement, exercising full self-governance, having the right to maintain its own foreign policy within limits defined by the treaty and the maintenance of its own military and police force. The socii status will be fully compatible with Hasanistan's current constitutional framework and Hasanistan shall effectively operate in its current form, including recognition of Hasanistan's policy of state neutrality. Hasanistan shall maintain all current diplomatic relationships and treaties. Pavlov's government will have powers to intervene where necessary in Hasani affairs if they are against her interests or beyond the scope of the treaty. Hasanistan will have a representative in the Pavlovian Senate, although with half of the vote of a typical senator due to the fact that it already has significant autonomy.

The two states also commit to establishing a common political and cultural space, which shall include effective freedom of movement, the establishment of a customs union and endorsing joint cultural events. Hasanistan will establish Islam and the Old Pavlovian Orthodox Church as its co-official religions and has committed to protect religious minority rights. The treaty will also return the former territory of Jurijev (known currently as Cormac) to Pavlov, which shall become a part of the Theme of Britannia with President Çakar as its Duke under a pseudonym, and additional consideration is being made into annexing some territory related to the Çakar family in Anatolia.

Outside of the treaty, there has been personal reconciliation between the two heads of state and clarification over past issues. Hasanistan has made committments to remove previous anti-Pavlovian elements, already removing the ban on expressions of support for monarchism and re-writing articles which took a hostile stance against Pavlov.

The new national emblem of Hasanistan, designed by the President himself, is a Seljuk eagle with a shield on its chest displaying a landscape of a mountain range and oceans with a ray of light shining on it and holding a banner containing Hasanistan's national motto in Hasani Japonic script. In addition to the version with Japonic script, which shall be the main version, alternative ones featuring the motto written in other Hasani scripts and recognised minority languages will be developed.

    The new Hasanistani national emblem

In addition to the new national emblem, Hasanistan has expanded its visa-free regime to almost 50 countries. However, the visa-free regimes issued to these countries is more limited in time period than the previous ones issued (only lasting 30 days rather than 180) and many do not include the right to conduct business activities during this period. The countries which will now have such visa-free privileges shall be Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Transnistria, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Guernsey, San Marino, Georgia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Radon, Yemen, Palestine, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Togo, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Cuba, Mexico, El Salvador, Bolivia, Papua New Guinea, Northern Mariana Islands and Tuvalu. Moldovans, Radonians, Equatorial Guineans and Northern Mariana Islanders shall have the ability to conduct visa-free business travel.

President Çakar has stated on the matter of visas that he wishes to negotiate generous visa-free access with many of Hasanistan's current intermicronational partners for Hasani citizens, stating that any state which is interested may contact the Hasani government. He has also stated that the current unilateral visa-free arrangement for Afghans will be maintained despite the current political situation and regardless of whichever faction there comes to power, due to the close historical ties between Afghanistan and the Turkic people.

Hasanistan sends financial aid to Afghan civilians during "final" offensive

The Hasanistani government has revealed that it has given financial support to trusted charities delivering support to Afghan citizens, following the recent escalation of clashes between Afghan government forces and the Taliban movement. The clashes began following a Taliban offensive ahead of the upcoming American and NATO withdrawal by September, which seems to be succeeding on the battlefield and their is talk of them achieving a decisive victory in the war. Many civilians have been caught up in this escalation and a new migration wave seems highly likely. According to the Hasanistani government, this aid was given to support in the best way it can to soften the humanitarian disaster but should not be considered as giving support to either side. The total amount and which NGO it was given to will remain undisclosed.

President Hasan Çakar has re-iterated that Hasanistan is neutral in the conflict between the Taliban and the Afghan government in accordance with its general neutrality policy, noting that the only openly active group that it opposes is Daesh who poses a threat to its own citizens, and has urged both sides to cease fighting and negotiate a political settlement in the interests of regional stability and the safety of civilians. He has also called on the Taliban to stick with the terms of their agreement with America in terms of not supporting terrorist group al-Qaeda and not seeking to destabilise Central Asia and treat ethnic minorities with respect.

    Eniakist Party established

The Eniakist Party of Hasanistan has been established, becoming the eighth currently existing political party in the country. The Eniakist Party follows the ideology of Eniakism, which originates from Mahuset and was theorised by the nation's founder.

Eniakism is a controversial ideology in Hasanistan, as Hasanistan was once opposed to it during a period of its perceived spread in the early 2010s and President Hasan Çakar compared this so-called "Eniak Era" to the spread of communism after World War I. However, attitudes to Eniakism have improved and the Hasanistani government now sees it as a useful tool in the fight against the reactionary Hegro/Grindr model zealots of the Feudalist Party. Following its founding, it has declared that it is a partner in an alliance with the ruling People's Unity Party and supports the government.

The Hasanistani Eniakist Party is a "anti-revisionist" Eniakist party of Emiloist-XOist Thought, rejecting the so-called "neo-Eniakism" of Mouzilo's National Eniakist Party for being pro-Ashukov and anti-hentai. The HEP states that its main beliefs are deregulation of the anime (including the idea that Crunchyroll is theft), Rem is best waifu, anti-GUM, anti-Ashukovo, anti-G(ay)reek, anti-Adammia, anti-Bainbridge, anti-feudalism, anti-Nedlandic, anti-Ryukyuan, anti-German, anti-Ethiopian, pro-Mahuset, pro-Turan and pro-Sharia. It also wants Hasanistan to support Mahuset in fully purging the territory of Virgo of any Ashukov or Mouzeliot influence by using nuclear weapons on Mouzilo and the house of Manu II, as well as a full investigation into the mysterious founder of Mouzilo Manu I who may be tied to the Joe Biden-Pavle Savovic deep state.

This is the third time that the referendum has been rescheduled.

Statement on assessing Hasanistani response to coronavirus

President Hasan Çakar has released a formal statement assessing the Hasanistani response to the coronavirus pandemic and making recommendations for the next stages of the pandemic. He has praised the measures that Hasanistan proposed (which included ending international travel and prohibiting public gatherings), saying that they worked when applied in other countries, and urged all citizens to get vaccinated. He also confirmed that there were two suspected cases of coronavirus among Hasanistani citizens, but they both recovered.

The full statement reads as follows:

"The official data regarding coronavirus affecting Hasanistani citizens is that there were two suspected cases, with both recovering quickly following the arrival of their suspected symptoms. Fortunately, no citizen has died as of yet and the chances of this happening are lowering as many citizens take the vaccine. It should be noted that as all of Hasanistani citizens are expatriates, their countries of residence were responsibility for their safety. However, Hasanistan urged its citizens to follow the measures it proposed in their own interest.

Initially, there was some naivety from me in that I thought most of the world would follow what happened with the 2016 African Ebola outbreak and implement common sense measures such as closing travel to affected countries to deal with the virus rather than not do nothing which caused mass public upheaval. I later became alarmed myself when they began not to and instead let the virus spread.

The Hasanistani response began in March 2020 with the passage of the Coronavirus Prevention, Mitigation and Containment Act. Although the first version of CPMC the act was not approved due to some disagreements of the extent of the Prime Minister's powers and inclusion of the death penalty, the proposed counter-coronavirus measures were approved quickly after the controversial political aspects were modified.

Despite the fact that the measures in the CPMC act were not tested within Hasanistan as its citizens live in other countries, the measures within the act have shown to have been successful when they were applied in other countries. The CPMC called for harsh measures such as the end of all non-essential travel, social isolation of symptomatic people, deportation or isolation of those from infected countries and total ending of public gatherings such as the lockdowns. Countries that applied similar measures, such as New Zealand, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei or some African states managed to achieve low death rates. This was proposed while many other countries were still arguing for the foolish and inhumane herd immunity and laissez-faire measures, which proved disastrous when applied in countries like Sweden or America.

Eventually, Hasanistan lifted the CPMC measures. This was largely for political reasons in terms of the complications that the act had regarding the governing situation of the time, rather than in interest of ending the measures. Ending the CPMC measures in total was seen as quicker than redefining the rules. The government stated that citizens should follow their local measures but also keep in mind the recommendations of Hasanistan's response. It also expressed that limited re-opening should be attempted when cases declined to help certain industries, but that social distancing and limitations on crowds would need to still be strictly followed. The fast re-opening which happened around the summer of 2020 in many countries ended up creating new waves.

I and the Hasanistani government always warned about irrational alarmism (which I meant as severe public upheaval regarding it) over the virus, which contributed to issues such as hoarding which led to supply shortages and reactionary responses from certain members of the population which promoted conspiracy theories and anti-lockdown disinformation. It was predicted by us from the start that this alarmism by the mostly decadent global population would cause problems later on. The spread of TikTok spyware software was an especially big part of this, which later led to it being banned in Hasanistan. I especially criticised some in the micronational community as alarmists, because they were spreading disinformation about its symptoms such as the idea it caused "zombie-like" effects. The Hasanistani government is currently concerned about the conspiracy theories regarding vaccines and reckless protests by anti-lockdown libertines.

Finally, in terms of how to proceed from the current point. Hasanistan recommends that all citizens take one of the official vaccines, which have been confirmed as safe following thorough medical review (although they should also take into consideration any potential side-effects stated by official government bodies). This will build immunity so that the pandemic in countries can end. There should be a carefully-planned path of re-opening in local areas for those who are vaccinated, but those who are not vaccinated should still be prevented from significant public activity. International travel should not be permitted until both the home nation and almost an entirety of another country's population are immune, to prevent the spread of new variants. Once the pandemic is finished, there should also be annual vaccines to protect people against new variants. Making vaccine patents publicly available would support this by allowing countries to develop it themselves rather than ordering it.

Hasanistan also wishes to express its condolences to those whose family members have lost lives."

Hasanistan calls for peace and condemns Israeli aggression in recent Jerusalem clashes

President Hasan Çakar has issued a statement on behalf of the Hasanistani government, calling for the end of hostilities in the West Bank, withdrawal of illegal Israeli settlers and the return to the peace process as defined in past agreements. Clashes have re-escalated in Jerusalem recently following protests over the expulsion of local Palestinians in the district of Sheikh Jarrah by Zionist settlers (often radical Judeo-theocratic fundamentalists), which has also led to attacks on the al-Aqsa Mosque and skirmishes in the Gaza Strip between Israeli forces and political party Hamas.

While reiterating Hasanistan's general neutrality and a desire for peace based upon the 1967 borders, President Çakar has also stated that the targeting of al-Aqsa (which is respected by Hasanistan's Muslim-plurality) and past record of illegal actions show Israel acts as a 'rogue state' and has threatened to revoke recognition of the UN member and implement sanctions if Israel escalates the situation further.

The full statement reads as follows:

"The clashes in Jerusalem are very disturbing and the actions of illegal Israeli settlers are disgusting. Hasanistan calls for an immediate end of this situation, including the ending of violence, withdrawal of illegal settlers, return of expelled locals and return to peace negotiations. We are especially troubled by violent actions by Israeli police on al-Aqsa Mosque on peaceful worshippers.

Hasanistan seeks peace and we understand the fact that since the 1948 war, regardless of its legality then and ethnic cleansing that took place, a Jewish statelet exists in the area around Tel Aviv. This is why it believes the most suitable solution is peaceful co-existence between an Israeli and Palestinian Arab state based on the so-called '1967 borders' where all ethno-religious communities can have their rights protected. However, since then Israel has continued to pursue expansionist and hostile policies with the Palestinians and its other neighbours. Israeli agents have also engaged in subversive activities in other areas of the world such as Europe and the Israeli intelligence agencies have reportedly supported terror groups. Israel also threatens the entire world with nuclear apocalypse through its illegal nuclear weapons program and its reckless Samson Option policy. The current events are just part of a pattern, Israel continuously violates international law. Israel is acting like a rogue state, with the full support of the US and other Western states.

The current settlement programs are genocidal, perpetrated by radical Talmudists who take a literal interpretation of the statements of certain rabbis. If Jews from Israel which to live in the West Bank, they must migrate there in-line with Palestinian immigration laws. Instead, these settlers are effectively an unofficial invasion force supported by the Israeli state where they remove locals by force and appropriate their properties. One would think that Israelis, many of whom fled from Europe and other parts of the Middle East to escape similar actions in the first place, would not commit such crimes.

Hasanistan is neutral and does not seek to involve itself in conflicts where it or its interests are at threat. However, Israel is not just a rogue state but through its violations of international law and its Sampson Option cannot be seen as anything other than a hostile state to Hasanistan. Our red lines will be further significant forced evictions, deliberate attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque or any other religious place of worship or an invasion of Gaza. If Israel performs any of these, Hasanistan will suspend all ties with Israel and place sanctions and bans on Israeli areas of interest.

Finally, Hasanistan wishes that all innocents are not targeted by violence."

Currency referendum to be held on 11 June; second question choices established and President releases his endorsements

President Hasan Çakar has announced that the postponed currency referendum will be held on 11 June, following the initial rescheduling from 10 April to an indefinite date in the summer. Çakar has stated regarding the postponements of the referendum, which was one of his electoral promises in his November 2020 presidential campaign, that it was necessary due to then busy schedule of the Hasani government and officials who were dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The choices of the second questions regarding the name of a future currency have also been established, although the originally planned procedure of them being approved by the National Parliament (established by the decree which declared the referendum) did not occur due to the inactivity that Hasanistan had faced at the time. The five choices were instead made by the President's decision from popular recommendations. The choices will be: Hasani, Som, Lira, Manat or Dollar.

President Çakar also issued his personal endorsements for the referendum: supporting a unique National Currency for the first question, the name "Manat" in the second question, a labour-based currency in the third question, a virtual currency in the fourth question and a vote against local currencies in the fifth question in preference of a unified national currency. While he has made these endorsements, his party at large has declared its neutrality on all questions except for the fifth one in which it will support a "No" vote.

Çakar has additionally re-iterated he will implement whatever is voted on and has expressed interest in having a unique, independent office to oversee its implementation.

Hasanistan sends condolences to Chad over death of President

Hasanistani President Hasan Çakar has sent his condolences to the Chadian government following reports of the assassination of long-time President Idriss Déby. According to the BBC, the strongman who has ruled since the 1990s was killed commanding government forces against a northern rebel group known as the "Front for Change and Concord in Chad" (FACT). Hasanistan has maintained its full neutrality in this civil conflict, abiding by its general policy of state neutrality, but issued calls for a peaceful settlement. The President has offered himself as a negotiator.

The full statement by the President reads:

"We send our condolence for the toppling of the Chad President. He was controversial, but he must have been a good man to rule the Chads. We hope that peace can come to Chads as quickly as possible. I can negotiate peace in Chad if all sides wish."

President declares Donald Trump persona non grata

President Hasan Çakar has announced that Donald Trump is persona non grata, barring him from entry into Hasanistan. He has also been banned from engaging in any form of financial transactions with individuals in Hasanistan following the additional placing of economic sanctions, effectively preventing his business empire "the Trump Organization" from operating within the country.

The following reasons have been given for the ban on the former President of the United States: his ordering of the assassination of Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani, his decision in 2017 to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel (which is regarded as an illegally-occupied part of Palestine), his involvement in blockading Yemen and his support for conspiracy theories regarding coronavirus.

Despite this, President Çakar stated that this was not an endorsement of his successor and former electoral opponent Joseph Biden: "This is not an endorsement of American President Biden, but we will not pursue sanctions against the current American leader in case Hasanistan is granted international recognition and we would be required to interact with them".

Consultative Mejlis approves new Council of Vandals third chamber and partisan affiliation in Knowledgeable People's Mejlis

In a low turnout vote in the Consultative Mejlis, where only one deputy voted, a act establishing a new third chamber within the National Parliament and allowing partisan affiliation in the Mejlis of Knowledgeable People was approved. The motion was proposed by the President, who additionally immediately approved it following its successful passing in the Mejlis.

The new chamber will be the Mejlis of Vandals, which according to act is named after the Germanic Vandal Kingdom. It will be composed of the President, Prime Minister, ceremonial heads and appointees by the President who will all serve life-terms in the body. The head of the new deliberative chamber will be the President as Vandalführer, with the Prime Minister as Deputy Vandalführer. Under the new system, motions approved by the Vandal Mejlis will be sent to the Mejlis of Knowledgeable People for approval which will decide if they can become law. The Vandal Mejlis will not be part of the joint sessions of the National Parliament, despite being a part of it.

Additionally, a previous rule of offices in the Mejlis of Knowledgeable People being non-partisan under the 2nd System of Government Act has been abolished. This seems to have been done to allow the Government's party to establish closer ties with parties without representation.

The full act may be read here.

The President has also issued his first appointments for the Knowledgeable People's Mejlis. Tanju Çakar (Progressive Party) has been made representative of industrial workers, Lüd İsveçoğlu (Feudalist Party) has been made representative of the peasantry, Muhamet Ali (Independent) has been made representative of Turkish speakers, Kevin Vanhaar (Democratic Party) has been made representative of Ardajanis, Shady Morsi (Democratic Party) has been made representative of Dutch speakers, Tablekitten (Moralist Party) has been appointed representative of Christians and he has appointed himself (People's Unity Party) as representative of Muslims. Tablekitten has been selected to serve as its Speaker. The other offices will remain vacant so far.

2021 Census demographic data released; show significant demographic changes

The Hasanistani Governmet has released the first demographic figures since 2017, showing significant changes. The country's registered citizenry has risen significantly from 8 in 2017, to 20 (an increase of roughly 150%). This is also an increase from the number of eligible voters (estimated to be 100% of Hasanistan's population) which is also used as a more unofficial population count, which was 14 before the November 2020 elections.

The data released has been largely anonymised to prevent breaches of privacy and the full census will not be released to the public. Information which will be shown will be in terms of ethnicity, religion, main language and official karye and sanjak of residence. The data has shown that the increase of citizens has brought significant demographic changes in terms of ethnicity and religion. Demographic changes in Hasanistan have been tied to increased exposure of the citizenship application on Facebook, increased migration from Blepia and Nedland, and citizen loss following the split from Montescano.

It will also include data on the amount of non-citizens with residency rights and Ardajani Special Status residents.

Although not included, it is estimated that 100% of Hasanistan's population are male. President Hasan Çakar has said he hopes there will be one day where women will be more than 50% of Hasanistan.

    Ethnicity

The official ethnicity statistics on ethnicity are as follows: Turkic groups are 25%, Europeans (excluding Slavs) are 25%, Hindustanis/South Asians are 20%, Slavs are 15%, Ardajanis are 10% and Šlovedks are 5%.

The data shows a significant reduction in the previous Turkic majority from 63% of the population in 2017 to only 25% now. Although not included in the data, 60% of the 25% of Turkic peoples are estimated to be Hasani (15% of the total Hasani population). If the numbers for Slavs and Europeans are added together, Europeans would now form the majority in Hasanistan at 40%.

Chart showing % of ethnic groups

    Religion

Religious data shows that the majority of citizens (40%) have not stated or preferred not state their religious affiliation, while 30% are Muslims, 15% are Christians, 10% are Hindus and 5% are Shinto. The data has shown a significant reduction in Islam's previous majority in 2017, from 75% to only 30%.

Chart showing % of religious affiliation

    Main spoken language

This census data is the first to show the main spoken language (first language) of citizens. English is the most widely-spoken first language in Hasanistan, by 50% of the population.

Chart showing % of first languages

Populations of Sanjaks, Karyes and Eyalets

The official data on sanjak and autonomous regions populations in order is as follows: Batyr has 8 citizens, Körfeziye has 6 citizens, Ardajan has 3 citizens, Çobanistan has 2 citizens, Köktuğluk has 1 citizen and Sırıtjine has no registered citizens. Tallied for eyalets, this would mean North Hasanistan has 11 citizens, South Hasanistan has 3 citizens and Arapadalar has 6.

For karyes (the lowest-level administrative division) the data is as follows: Nun (Körfeziye) has 5 citizens, Keykubad (Batyr) has 4 citizens, Kınık (Batyr) has 3 citizens, Karamankaş (Çobanistan) and Shadyabat (Ardajan) both have 2 citizens, and Amara (Ardajan), Jerit (Körfeziye), Ortasaray (Batyr) and Turanşehir (Köktuğluk) all have 1 citizen each.

Registered residency for non-citizens and Ardajani Special Status residents

There is one non-citizen with registered residency rights from Mahuset who is currently registered as a voter in Batyr and seven Ardajani Special Status residents who reside within Ardajan. The Ardajani Special Status residents have been made citizens, but there data is not included in the released information.

If these groups were included with registered citizens, Hasanistan would have a population of 28 people.

Presidential decree commissions major development projects, organises election-referendum date, expands voting rights and appoints Minister of War

President Çakar has issued a presidential decree which has commissioned two major projects to enter their planning on funding stages (the Ortasaray Tower, a land reclamation project in Körfeziye and a public transport system), organised local elections and the currency referendum for April but cancelled legislative elections, expanded voting rights for non-citizens to certain nationalities and appointed Natsuki Hegro as the Minister of War.
The development projects in which funding and planning will be conducted for are the Ortasaray Tower, a "classical" skyscraper which shall house the Hasani National Parliament as well as a potential museum and other areas, and a land reclamation project to merge the islands of Jerit and Nun in Körfeziye into a single island. Both projects have been considered for a long time, with the Jerit-Nun land merger project dating back "years" according to Çakar. The President further eloborated on details on the Ortasaray Tower, saying it will be located in or near Ortasaray Karye (the original territory of Hasanistan), its architecture will be inspired by the Samarra Minaret, it will be multi-story and potential exhibitions within it will include a museum dedicated to Hasani history and a Hasani national library. A potential courtyard or garden for the Tower is also being considered. The estimated completion date for both is within the "mid-2150s".
Research will also begin on a pollution-free public transport system. The Public Transport System Planning Bureau under the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been established to conduct the research, especially in terms of routes. President Çakar has said that the public transport system itself will be a metro-style maglev shuttle service.
The decree further stated that local elections and the currency referendum will be held on 10 April. However, legislative elections which were scheduled to be held this year have been delayed until next year. According to the President, this is because he wishes to reform the term limits of the Consultative Mejlis from one year to two years like the President. He has also stated that the Consultative Mejlis will convene in the coming days to decide on the final options for the currency name question in the upcoming referendum. Voting rights similar to those granted to Brennonian, Cormacian and Mahusetan residents have been extended to other Batyr Bloc nationalities (such as Nedlanders and Norrlanders) and Blepians.
Finally, Natsuki Hegro of the Feudalist Party has been appointed as Minister of War. Hegro is already the Minister of Internal Affairs.
