HasanistanPedia to move to new MediaWiki service

The owner of HasanistanPedia, the government-backed independent encyclopedia and archive on Hasani history, has decided to move the project from Blogger to the free wikifarm service Miraheze.
HasanistanPedia has existed since mid-2013, being one of the oldest active institutions in Hasanistan. Since its creation, HasanistanPedia has always been based on the Blogger service because of the fact that the owners already had experience with the service as the government website is also hosted on Blogger. However, using Blogger has come at a disadvantage when attempting to make an online encyclopedia. Blogger is mostly made for being a blogging/news site and not a wiki as HasanistanPedia wished to be, making it both harder to edit than any MediaWiki-based service and without the ability for the public to support and help in the project. The move to Miraheze will allow the public to help in the development of HasanistanPedia.
Although HasanistanPedia will move to a different service, the Hasanistan government website will indefinitely stay on Blogger.
The new website can be found here!

Statement of apology to the Government of the Karno-Ruthenian Empire by Prime Minister Çakar

"Hasanistan realizes that the decision that was made may have been insulting to the Karno-Ruthenian nation, who have been great friends to us including condemning our military coup recently, but that decision was believed to be a necessary action that would have only been temporary to bring attention to the fact that full reconciliation between the former states of Pavlov and the great nation of Karnia-Ruthenia must include the end of all hostilities between former Pavlovians including removing any negative statuses that were previously placed on each other's citizens.
However, from my sources I realize Karnia-Ruthenia ended all negative statuses such as persona non grata on that certain citizen.
So in a token of friendship and apology, we will transfer the territory of Carpathia which had been temporarily under Hasani jurdstiction and allow its return to Karnia-Ruthenia.It is up to the decision of the KR government to accept this token as an apology and reconciliation and be interested in the re-establishment of diplomatic contact between our two nations and I will respect whatever decision His Imperial and Royal Majesty and his government makes. And regardless of your decision, the government of Hasanistan will respect and recognize the sovereignty of the Karno-Ruthenian Empire."
-Prime Minister Hasan Çakar

The changes in the Constitution include:

  • The President shall now be the head of government and the executive branch of government
  • The Federal Mejlis shall be established and its head shall be the Prime Minister
  • The state shall be of a Federal Structure
Regardless of the changes in the structure of government, no new elections will take place and the current government will remain in place until its term has finished.

Qaragüliyyâh Bey issues advisory statement condemning coup attempt

The Qaragüliyyâh Bey, leader of the Qaragüliyyâh Shia movement, has issued a statement condemning the attempt coup against the recently-inaugurated President Reza. The Qaragüliyyâh Bey also called on his supports to support the Reza government as Qaragüliyyâh Shia teachings prohibit opposing wordly authorities. There was some fear in Reza's cabinet regarding the lack of support from religious leaders such as the Qaragüliyyâh Bey but this advisory statement has shown his loyalty to the Hasani project.
The government's investigation into the coup perpetrator continues. Information about el-Qasentini is expected to be released soon, including his motives.

Statement by Prime Minister Hasan Çakar on the President's order of cutting diplomatic relations with Karno-Ruthenia

"It has come to our attention that the government of Karno-Ruthenia, who thought as our friends, have continued to view Qaragüliyyâh Bey Iskender, a member of the President's cabinet, as a terrorist and have declared him persona non grata in the past. This has shocked President Reza, who has gave an executive order declaring all diplomatic contact with the Karno-Ruthenian government to be null and void.
We believe this action is necessary to send as message to the officials Persenburg that until the Karno-Ruthenian government comes to its senses and be willing to negotiate the removal of the persona non grata of one of our government members, we will refuse to co-operate with them in anyway."
-Hasan Çakar, Prime Minister of Hasanistan

Coup attempt hours after inauguration of Reza crushed; order restored to Hasanistan

Just roughly two hours after the inauguration of democratically-elected president Asghar Reza, a rouge citizen and self-declared "general" known as Kaab el-Qasentini has attempted to overthrow the democratic government of Hasanistan and establish a military dictatorship.
At 19:34 WET, the terrorist el-Qasentini released a statement declared that he had overthrown the government, installed himself as president and freed the citizens from the former government's "tyranny". He also said that a new Hasanistan would begin under the supervision of the military.
The statement that started the coup
Three minutes later, President Rezareleased his own statement regarding the coup. Reza said that el-Qasentini had no power or army, that his coup plot will fail and the Bogdanoff brothers will punish him.
Reza's statement
At 19:51, Reza released another statement (this time in video form) denouncing the terrorists and calling on the citizens to support him.
At 20:15, Hasan Çakar attempted to establish a line of communication between Reza and el-Qasentini to end the coup but el-Qasentini did not reply. Following discussions between Çakar and Reza on how to deal with the coup quickly so the situation could not escalate further into a civil war, Reza ordered for el-Qasentini's citizenship to be revoked and for him to be exiled. At 20:49, el-Qasentini was exiled and Çakar announced that order had been restored to Hasanistan. The announcement was praised by citizen Onur Aydoğan, who declared that el-Qasentini's defeat is official.
Declaration of victory
Investigations and inquiries into the coup will begin tomorrow and if needed, there will be a large scale purge of all institutions and state of emergency will be declared.
This betrayal has not been the first time of coup threats . The single-party regime allowed democratic reform following a coup threat in 2013 and Tanju Çakar's government faced a unsuccessful coup attempt. The Hasani government will work harder in future to prevent these attacks on democracy from happening in future.

President Reza inaguarated; legislative and gubernatorial elections

Today at UTC+17:57, President-elect Asghar Reza was inaugurated after taking the Oath of the Republic.
"I promise to accept this position and use it to defend the ideals, the Constitution of the Republic of Hasanistan and the legacy of the Bogdanoff brothers in the name of the Most Gracious, Most Merciful."
                                                                   -President-elect, now President, Asghar Reza
Effective immediately, Reza is President of the Republic and head of state and international representative of the Republic of Hasanistan. In the coming days, a lot of discussions are expected as Reza appoints his Prime Minister and Cabinet.
In other news, the new President has given permission for the legislative and gubernatorial election to be cancelled. Official reasoning is that only one candidate is standing in each province for both elections and thus. This decision is permitted as the constitution does not prevent the cancellation or rescheduling of elections. The sole candidates standing in each constituency for both elections will be appointed as both legislative deputies and governors by the President.

Asghar Reza wins 2017 presidential election

Bogdanoff Orbital Government's candidate Asghar Reza has been elected to become Hasanistan's new president tonight after defeating rivals Shady Morsi and Tanju Çakar by nearly 43% of the vote.
Reza, who was initially seen as an outsider and unlikely to win the election before Hasan Çakar's withdrawal from the election, has managed to gather a large amount of support from people disenfranchised by the radical far left or libertarian politics of Tanju and Morsi as well as the former Pavlovian elite in the country to gain his victory.
Reza managed to win the election in the first round and so there was no need to use any of the second-preferential votes.
Reza is the first president of Hasanistan who is neither a member of the Çakar family or a member of either the Progressive Party or the Nomad Party.
Tanju and Morsi came in joint second with only two votes each.
The official results were as follows:
  1. Asghar Reza - 3 votes (42.86%)
  2. Shady Morsi and Tanju Çakar - 2 votes each (28.57%)
  • Turnout was 77.78% (7 citizens out of 9)
Map of the electoral result
Reza gave his victory speech around UTC+21:00.
"After this successful victory, I promise to make Hasanistan Great Agian
My Hasanistan will mostly focus on orbital science and ofcourse the Bogdanoff Twins
In their book "The Face of God" it explains that Igor and Grichka are the true gods of this universe and i hope i can make them proud by going same path as they went."
                                                                                       -President-elect Asghar Reza
Reza was congrulated by both election rival Shady Morsi, former and outgoing Chairman Hasan Çakar. He will take the Republic Oath tomorrow and be inaugurated as president.

First post-Pavlovian election held in Hasanistan for new President

Voters go the polls today to elect a new president of Hasanistan and Hasanistan first president since the dissolution of Pavlov.
Hasanistani citizens will have the choice between three different candidates: Shady Morsi of the Northern League, former president Tanju Çakar of the Progressive Party and Asghar Reza of BOG. The current incumbent Chairman and winner of the last presidential election Hasan Çakar withdrew from the election early on and instead chose to endorse Morsi.
The opinions polls held before the election and after Hasan's withdrawal have shown that voters are split between Morsi and Reza.
The president will be elected using a preference vote. If the first round ends in a tie, then the second preference of each voter will be added to their respective chosen candidates.
The President-elect will take his oath tomorrow. This presidential election is a part of a wider general election, with legislative and local elections for governors being held in two days time. Following the conclusion of all elections, the new President will select his cabinet and his Prime Minister.

Statement by presidential candidate Shady Morsi regarding the incident with Ashukovo

Ahead of the presidential election tomorrow, presidential candidate Shady Morsi of the Northern League has made a statement regarding the cutting of diplomatic ties with Ashukovo yesterday. Morsi has praised Chairman Hasan Çakar's position on the issue and called out Jacobs for his hypocrisy.
"My statement on the Hasani-Ashukov dispute: Chairman Hasan is right on the issue. Ashukovo is going to far in this. This kind of childish insults is not acceptable. What Mr,Jacobs must understand is that this isnt a kindergarten. This is micronationalism. The fact that Ashukovo called Hasan a dictator proves Jacob's desperation to win his own elections. I also endorsed Manu Tsompangolou (even before this incident) And we wish him the best and good luck in the Ashukov elections"
-Shady Morsi, presidential candidate for the Northern League
Solidarity has also come from both Confederation of Mahuset, with this statement released by the official Twitter account of the government, and the Kingdom of Hortania, who declared they stand with Hasanistan in this crisis.

Statement by Chairman Hasan Çakar on cutting of diplomatic ties with the Ashukov regime

"Following the recent insults and threats by the Ashukov Federation against two major citizens of Hasanistan, me and the Qaragüliyyâh Bey Iskender, I believe it is necessary action for Hasanistan to cut all diplomatic ties with the Jacobs Regime of the Ashukov Federation. We not take the insults towards our political and religious leaders lightly. Despotic president Edward Jacobs, the wannabe dictator, has called me a "bullet-headed goblin" and declared me persona non grata. He has also referred to me as a dictator for life, which is no longer true as the single-party regime that I led was dissolved in 2013 and will be clearly demonstrated in two days once the presidential election (which I am not even running in) will elect a new president. Both parties in the election have also referred to our religious leader, the Qaragüliyyâh Bey Iskender, as a terrorist for actions he took during his citizenship in the Ashukov Federation.
We are also worried about the deterioration of democracy in the Ashukov Federation, as demonstrated recently by the fact that dictator Edward Jacobs has been rigging polls and leading character assassinations against the opposition. Jacobs is following the lead of his hero and idol Vladimir Putin but this will not last long and victory for the people will always succeed. Although we will cut relations with the Ashukov Regime of Jacobs, we will not be ending our recognition of the right of Ashukov people to self-determination and if Jacobs attempts to rig the Ashukov presidential election fails and the citizens of Ashukovo exercise their democratic will and support the candidate for democracy and freedom, Manu Tsompangolou of the Conservative Party of Ashukovo, we will re-establish all diplomatic relations.
The Hasani government will also take further actions against the Regime of Jacobs by recognizing Mahusetan territorial claims on Ashukov territory as legitimate and declared the following people persona non grata: Edward Jacobs and Jacob Huff."
-Hasan Çakar, Chairman of the Provisional Council

Final opinion poll shows point to tie between Reza and Morsi

The third and final opinion poll, held yesterday, reveals that the Bogdanoff Orbital Government candidate Asghar Reza and Northern League candidate Shady Morsi are neck and neck.
Graph showing opinion polling prior to the election
This poll shows that BOG's Reza is rising in popularity and is beginning to rival Morsi. Prior to the withdrawal of Hasan Çakar from the presidential race, BOG and Reza were expected to be another minor party that would not make anything meaningful gains in the upcoming elections except winning one legislative seat. However, Reza has recently seemed to earn the support of many of the former Pavlovian establishment in Hasanistan and this could be instrumental in him becoming the first president of post-Pavlovian Hasanistan.
The poll has also shown the weakness of the Progressive Party and Tanju Çakar's campaign. The former president, who has ran this election on a Posadist campaign, has faced criticism from his election rivals for not accepting Shady Morsi's challenge of a debate. He is expected to lose the election by most external observers.
The presidential election will be held in four days and expectations are high among all candidates and their supporters. If the results of the poll do in fact represent the electorate on the day of the election, although this is unlikely and polls should not be considered full truth due to their smaller sample sizes, and Reza and Morsi do tie then the election will be decided by the voter's second preference votes. The results of the legislative and gubernatorial elections will be released two days after the presidential election and the new president will select his cabinet on the following day.

Hasani government statement regarding Qatari-Saudi diplomatic dispute

In reaction to the recent rising tensions between Saudi Arabia (backed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and the Hadi government of Yemen) and Qatar, the Hasani government has fully condemned the Saudi-initiated boycott of Qatar and has demanded that Saudi Arabia and its allies stop their hostile attitude to the Kingdom of Qatar.
Chairman of the Provisional Council Hasan Çakar has released this statement regarding the recent tensions:
"The government of Hasanistan fully condemns the bullying and warmongering actions of the Saudi regime towards the Kingdom of Qatar and demands the Saudi regime and their allies halt all aggressive actions against the Qatari government. We especially condemn the Saudi regime and their allies hostile treatment of Qatari civilian institutions, businesses and citizens and
We also condemn the actions of the terrorist regime of the occupier nation of Bahrain in regards to this crisis. Not only does this nation illegally occupy the Hasani province of Noon, it also has begun hostile and imperialistic actions towards the nation of Qatar and we will fully condemn this. This clear case of imperialism is from the revanchist attitude of Bahrain to Qatar, wishing to reclaim its former colony and re-establish the only relevance this irrelevant terrorist regime ever head.
I wish to establish that our opposition to the imperialistic hostility to Qatar by the Saudi regime and their allies does not mean we endorse the human rights abuses and questionable actions of the Qatari state."
The Qaragüliyyâh Shia Imamate also condemned the hostility towards Qatar and gave the following statement:
"The people of the Federal Republic of Hasanistan and the Qaragüliyyâh Shia Muslim Imamat inparticular is deeply concerned about the situation in the Saudi-Qatari conflict. The Saudi-initiated breaking of the official diplomatic Channels between Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen on one side and the State of Qatar on the other side, has created conditions for the enemies of the faith, as brought down uponus by the Prophet Muhammad (sallā llāhu ʿalay-hi wa-sallam), to become more powerful. The Imamat affirms its support for the relations between the Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen on one side and the State of Qatar on the other side to be restored. The Imamat furthermore wholeheartedly condemns this Saudi-initiated boycott on Qatar as a result of the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iranand the State of Qatar improving, and wishes that the Saudi government stops her hatred against the Shia Islamic faith and school of thought. The Imamat furthermore wholeheartedly condemns theuse of the title of al-Malik by the Governments of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, as the title of Al-Malik(the Sovereign /or/ the King) is one of the 99 names of Allah, and as such can not be usurped byany Human, as no human is equal or comparable to Allah in anyway whatsoever."
In other news, the second poll of this election and the first poll following Hasan Çakar's withdrawal from the election reveals that Shady Morsi has benefited most from his withdrawal and is leading his rivals Asghar Reza and Tanju Çakar by 25 points. The results of the poll were as follows:
  1. Shady Morsi - 2 (50%)
  2. Asghar Reza - 1 (25%)
  3. Tanju Çakar - 1 (25%)
Tanju has also appear to have benefited from Hasan's withdrawal. The poll conducted had the same sample size as the previous poll.

Hasan Çakar drops out of presidential election, endorses Shady Morsi

This morning, Hasan Çakar of the Nomad Party has announced his withdrawal from the 2017 presidential election and has endorsed rival candidate Shady Morsi of the Northern League.
The former President's withdrawal from the presidential race will come as a surprise, especially three days after a poll revealed he was leading the other candidates by 25 points. Hasan has justified this decision by stating that the other candidates have "much better ideas" than he does and he is willing to work with any of them as long as they make compromises for his planned policies. Regarding why he has chosen to specifically endorse Shady Morsi, Hasan gave this following statement:
"I offered both Tanju and Asghar the chance to work with me but they never accepted the offer, Shady did. Also Shady has campaigned harder then any other candidates and has the most well-described policies compared to the his rivals. I may not agree with some of them but I respect this. He has also promised me that I will be his head of government and he also has a good record within micronational and separatist communities as a statesman and diplomat. Regardless of this, I am willing to work with any of the candidates and I wish them all the best of luck."
In other news, a new opinion poll will be held soon to see how public opinion has shifted following Hasan Çakar withdrawal. It is expected that the voters of Hasan Çakar will know be split between Morsi and Asghar Reza.
