Hasanistan establishes diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom of Corea

Hasanistan has ratifies a treaty of mutual recognition and friendship with the United Kingdom of Corea. The United Kingdom of Corea is a Korean micronation ruled by His Majesty King CYMON. The leaders of the two states ratified the treaty this morning after two days of negotiations. The Naib-i-Şehinşah praised the decision following the ratification, stating "Long live our nation's friendship". He has also stated that Hasanistan will continue a policy of expanding its diplomatic network "in Eastern Europe and Asia".

Naib-i-Şehinşah bans TikTok

Today, the Naib-i-Şehinşah has issued the second Decree to Defend Public Health, used to defend Hasani citzens from coronavirus, to ban the Chinese-produced video-sharing application TikTok. The decision has been justified in the Act by stating it promotes "spreading debauchery, hedonism and
humiliation among the Population of the World" and is used as an intelligence asset by "the enemies of the Turanian and Islamic people".
Proven use of TikTok shall result in exile, while appearing in a TikTok video intentional or otherwise shall result in forty-years imprisonment. The assets of companies and individuals that produce TikTok located within the territory of Hasanistan are to be seized and re-used for public good.
The Naib-i-Şehinşah said about the matter:
"Seeing these TikTok videos of nurses dancing and different kinds of 'shuffles' and scantily-dressed women doing cringe-worthy dances or humour is shameful and an attack on the revolutionary principles upon which Hasanistan was built. It is a sad state of affairs when some concubine on TikTok is dancing to Satanic music instead of producing mathematics, technology and books about the history of Great Nations such as Hasanistan. We must prevent such behaviour, it belongs to people with no morals like modern Americans or Ashukovs, instead of within Hasanistan."

Naib-i-Şehinşah abolishes monarchy, exiles Royal Family and creates free association with Jurijev

The Naib-i-Şehinşah has issued a decree, controversially under powers available to him under the Coronavirus Prevention, Mitigation and Containment Act, to abolish the monarchy, exile the former Shahanshah and the royal family, ban support for the deposed Monarchy, establish a Commonwealth within the Sublime State and create free association with the territory of Jurijev which also seceded from Montescano.
Under the decree, Shahanshah Deñiz and the Royal Family have been exiled and condemned, with it being declared that the Hasani people were free from being within allegiance towards them. The office of Shahanshah has been effectively abolished and a commonwealth and free state has been declared within the Sublime State of Hasanistan. However, the powers and responsibilities of the Monarch have been granted to the Naib-i-Şehinşah. The law also prohibits "endeavour to attempt by force of arms or otherwise, [of] aiding, assisting, comforting, or abetting" the re-establishment of the Monarchy.
In addition, the territory of Jurijev which also seceded from Montescano has been declared as within free association with Hasanistan, allowing it to request Hasanistan to carry out its foreign policy and defence duties if necessary.
The full text of the Act can be read here.

Prime Minister declares himself Naib-i-Şehinşah

Following Hasanistan's secession from Montescano, and the present situation that Hasanistan is faced with, Prime Minister Hasan Çakar has issued a statement declaring how the government will proceed and the positions on the government regarding various matters that have arisen after secession. Within the statement, he established himself as absolute ruler of Hasanistan as Naib-i-Şehinşah (Regent) and also discussed the citizenship dispute that has arisen with Montescano after the secession.
"Hasanistan is once again to be a free and independent state, liberated from the Pavlovian Rûm. However, we must now proceed forward and re-develop our Nation and Homeland. Some foreign observers may think that we will fail and this decision was foolish, but I do not see any challenge at all within this task.
Now first of all, we must address the consequences of our secession. The Monarch has effectively surrendered the throne, nullifying the process of succession regarding the monarchy established within the Constitution as void. There is neither any legal precedent and ruling within Hasanistan regarding establishment of a regency. However, suspending the Constitution in its entirety for now would be needless, it is best if we maintain the current institutions. So the Constitution shall be maintained and implemented on a selective basis. As the Monarch is present and our legislative and executive institutions have currently effectively dissolved, I must use my current de facto power to declare myself Naib-i-Şehinşah [Regent], in addition to being Prime Minister and Head of the Divan, and rule in this manner until the situation stabilises.
The Montescanin government has unfortunately took a belligerent position to us now and stated that any Montescanin subject who also holds Hasani citizenship will be expelled, causing some to give up their citizenship and others who remained loyal to be removed from Montescano. We must accept this and reciprocate, citizens must decide whether they wish to be in Hasanistan and Montescano. While some significant figures have left though, it would be delusional to claim this had any truly damaging effect and we will indeed easily recover. As my first decision as Naib, those figures who have confirmed or I strongly assumed have left are removed from all Hasani offices. I will ensure to communicate with other figures who are in an ambiguous position to seek clarity.
In regards to what happens now, as I have said I shall rule as Naib and Prime Minister until a decision is made formally regarding our system of government. If the Mejlis and Divan may continue to function in the form in which it existed prior, it shall be gifted the opportunity to do so, but for now I shall rule by decree. We have already contacted some nations we formerly-held relations with, as well as new nations, for establishing bilateral relations and we are consulting with our citizens on how they wish to proceed."

Hasanistan granted independence from Montescano

Hasanistan has been granted independence from the Tsardom of Montescano after the breakdown of the mutual agreement between the Shahanshah Deñiz and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar resulted in a tense private clash between the two, leaving the Monarch to simply submit to the Prime Minister's demands and grant the region of Hasanistan independence.
Hasanistan joined Montescano in early April, after months of integration between Montescano and Hasanistan following Shahanshah Deñiz's re-accession to the then-dissolved Pavlovian throne of Hasanistan. Montescano's annexation of Hasanistan was controversial as it took multiple votes to be passed and was only passed through the Mejlis granting Deñiz the power to break the impasse. Tensions re-arose yesterday between nationalist elements of Hasanistan and the Montescanin central leadership, which led to an agreement for a planned independence referendum to be held in May. However, the agreement has seemingly collapsed and Montescano has allowed Hasanistan to secede.
It is not known yet if Shahanshah Deñiz has abdicated the throne as well, although if he has not then the Mejlis will vote to abolish monarchy or elect a new Monarch. Prime Minister Hasan Çakar has yet to issue a statement on the matter, although it is believed he will issue a public statement to the Hasani Nation regarding its future in the coming days.

Independence referendum proclaimed for May

His Majesty the Shahanshah Deñiz has issued a royal edict proclaiming an independence referendum be held between 11 May and 17 May, in which there shall be two questions:

  • Should Hasanistan secede from Montescano (with bilateral ties on the 7th of September 00:00 UTC) and become an independent state? (Yes or No)
  • Which form of government shall Hasanistan have if it secedes? (Monarchy or Republic)
The referendum has come after disputes between His Majesty and the former Head of the Divan and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar over Hasanistan's future, who lately mutually agreed to hold a referendum to decide the matter. The two have issued a joint statement promising to respect the results of the referendum, which stated:
We, Our Imperial Majesty and Hasan Çakar (Filaret Hasanovych Tsakarin in Montescano), have agreed after mutual consideration to have a referendum take place in Hasanistan on the following 2 question:
-  Should Hasanistan secede from Montescano (with bilateral ties on the 7th of September 00:00 UTC) and become an independent state? (Yes/No)
- Which form of government shall Hasanistan have if it secedes? (Monarchy/Republic)
We have both agreed to whatever the result is respect the outcome. Any of us not respecting the outcome, is to be condemned by the Government of friendly states.
HIM Tsesar Dionisiy Feofanovych
Hasan Çakar, Head of the Divan
If Hasanistan does indeed vote to secede then they shall be granted independence on the 7th September (00:00 UTC) on the ninth anniversary of Hasani independence, while if they vote to stay then they shall continue to be a Dominion of Montescano. If Hasanistan secedes but decides to maintain the monarchy, His Majesty shall continue to be Shahanshah of Hasanistan with Montescano and Hasanistan being in a personal union (similar to the previous situation prior to annexation by Montescano), while if Hasanistan secedes as a republic than Hasan Çakar shall become head of state as Acting President under the Fourth Constitution of Hasanistan which was used previously before joining Montescano.
All current eligible citizens of Hasanistan shall have the right to vote in the referendum, although citizens who are not listed within the Royal Edict will not be granted this right. A total of 15 eligable voters have the right to vote.
Hasan Çakar has been re-appointed Prime Minister and Head of the Divan to held oversee the referendum in co-operation with His Majesty to ensure the referendum and its results are free and fair, having previously resigned on 21 April and being replaced by Borys Nanatov as Acting Prime Minister.
The full royal edict proclaiming the referendum may be read here.

Hasanistan declares support for Libyan Government of National Accord

The Mejlis approved a motion proposed by Prime Minister Hasan Çakar to declare support for the Government of National Accord in Libya, by 5 in support to 1 opposition (and 1 absent). The vote was simply held on a motion declaring support and stipulating little else, as it was not part of a proposed act.
The Government of National Accord is the United Nations-recognised government of Libya and is currently fighting the Libyan National Army led by Khalifa Haftar in the Second Libyan Civil War, which broke out after the overthrow of Muammar Gadaffi's government following the first civil war in the country and the collapse of the subsequent transitional government. The Government of National Accord is also supported by Turkey, Qatar and Italy, while Haftar's forces have been supported by Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Russia, Belarus, Chad, Israel, Greece and Cyprus.
The decision to support the Government of National Accord is controversial, as Deputy-Prime Minsiter Drakonov has declared his preference for Haftar's forces and the motion was opposed by Shady Morsi of the Northern League in the Mejlis.

Ashukovo throws unprovokedly collective tantrum at Hasanistan

The Ashukov regime has recently re-established itself under the rule of 'Edward Jacobs', a notorious troll and involuntary celibate, and has made one of its first foreign policy actions by launching a cringe-worthy and self-humiliating tantrum at Hasanistan unprovoked.
This collective tantrum began on April 3, with self-declared 'President' Jacobs writing on a Twitter post "Crooked Hasan — a deplorable micronational failure — is back with the usual racism and xenophobia. Keep the trolls out! #NoPasaran" in a petty attempt at attention-seeking which was commenting off the back of an embarrassing so-called 'refutation' of Prime Minister Çakar by the Nova-Occitanian regime Babou Chkaya which only resorted to ad hominems and attempting to frame Çakar as an Adolf Hitler-like figure who wanted to 'genocide Occitanian Jews' in retaliation for being called out as a corrupt person and getting offended by being described as a 'Zionist fanboy'.
The unprovoked annoyance of the Ashukovs was further demonstrated today after the leader of Mouzilo, an ex-Ashukov region which is currently part of Austenasia, made the pointless decision to declare its already-void treaty of mutual recognition with Hasanistan as void, despite the fact that such treaty was already voided by Mouzilo's accession to Austenasia long before this incident (and also by the fact that Hasanistan is no longer independent and part of Montescano), in an obviously partisan-driven manner. Mouzilo is ruled by the same leader of the 'Conservative Party of Ashukovo' (Edward Jacobs' controlled opposition), and this action was nothing more than an attempt by the Ashukovs at using Austenasia as a proxy through which to nonsensically attack Hasanistan. The Twitter page of the 'Conservative Party of Ashukovo' shared the news of Mouzilo's decision and attempted to act like they were unconnected entities.
Prime Minister Hasan Çakar said regarding the Ashukov aggression "It is laughable, I pay no attention to it and I advice anyone with intelligence to do the same. Let the children have their fun". He also replied through the Hasani Twitter account to Mouzilo saying "Meaningless statement as the treaty was automatically voided since neither state is independent anyway, but let the baby has his little tantrum".

Hasanistan formally joins Montescano

Following the ratification of the 'Treaty regarding the Annexation and Integration of the Sublime State of Hasanistan' (also known as the 'Treaty of Kökbulus'), Hasanistan has been incorporated into the Tsardom of Montescano as Dominion.
Hasanistan will now become an autonomous territory within the Tsardom, while handing responsibility of foreign affairs and defence to the government of the Tsardom of Montescano. All laws in Hasanistan shall still apply, and Montescanin law outside of its Statute will not apply to Hasanistan unless specified.
Both sides also agreed to ensure 'mutual protections and respect for areas of cultural and religious importance', including '...the practice of Islam, the use of the Hasani language, the Millet system, pre-Pavlovian Hasanistani history and the role of Hasan Çakar as founder of Hasanistan' on the Montescanin side and '...Christian minority, Pavlovian heritage within Hasanistan and national respect and obedience to the Sovereign Prince and the Royal Family' on the Hasani side.
Hasanistan will be represented within the Montescanin Senate by Chase Mahoning.

Mejlis approves ratifying merger treaty with Montescano

The Mejlis has successfully passed the "I DEN AM 5 (Unification with Montescano Act)", granting the Prime Minister the mandate to ratify the treaty that will merge Hasanistan and Montescano into one state and transform Hasanistan into a dominion of the Tsardom of Montescano.
The vote was approved by 4 in support, no abstentions and 1 opposition, with a total of five out of the six deputies of the Mejlis (including the Monarch) voting.
In addition to approving the ratification of the treaty, the Basic Law Reform Convention shall be established to reform the current constitution to the conform to the changes that will occur by Hasanistan's annexation by the Tsardom of Montescano. The members shall include the Shahanshah, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister.
Despite its approval by a strong majority in the Mejlis, the Act is controversial and some are concerned regarding another attempt to re-establish a pan-Pavlovian state after the collapse of the 2016-2017 era Pavlovian state. The previous vote on the matter of merging with Montescano ended in a tense impasse and caused private disagreements, and while opinions on the matter changed there are still some figures who oppose the decision.
The merger, which will now likely happen, will not affect the current government of Hasanistan (which shall remain the same) and the planned elections shall still occur in November.
