Over the past two months, Hasanistan participated in the Micronational Olympic Federation's Tic-Tac-Toe Tournament and the Micronational Friendship Games of the Friendship Nations Group. Hasanistan was represented in both events by Hasan Çakar, who had previously won medals in the MOF eGames and Intergames.
Hasanistan was unsuccessful in the Tic-Tac-Toe Tournament, which came to a close at the beginning of this week, but managed to achieve three medals in its debut appearance at the FNG Friendship Games.
2026 MOF Tic-Tac-Toe Tournament
Hasan Çakar competed on behalf of Hasanistan in the 2026 MOF Tic-Tac-Toe (Noughts and crosses) Tournament. The Tic-Tac-Toe Tournament is one of a series of new single-discipline events held by the Micronational Olympic Federation and was virtually hosted by the Duchy of Firburg. Çakar entered the tournament with a history of having only participated in a tic-tac-toe event at the 2025 Intergames, where he was eliminated in the first stage in a 2-1 defeat to a representative from Gunaka.
Çakar was placed Group A in the initial stage, dubbed the "Horse Meadow" Group, alongside Johannes I (Slitronia), Gruyere (Erland), Filip I (Nesea), Chrzan (Nordmeer, now known as Alpecona), Julian Boevink (Stanland) and Peteros (Mendersia). Çakar ultimately finished fifth in the group with a 2-0 victory over the Standlanic representative and an awarded victory by forfeit against Peteros of Mendersia (who had been disqualified due to inactivity), having lost his four other games (all by two games to zero). Çakar had been tied on points and head-to-head record with the representatives from Nordmeer and Stanland for the fourth qualification spot, but Nordmeer's Chrzan was awarded the qualification spot.
The event was ultimately won by Eric Smith of Mendersia, who defeated Tree of Medoles by two games to zero in the final.
2026 Friendship Games
Hasanistan participated in the 2026 edition of the Friendship Games of the Friendship Nations Group, its first attendance in an event of the Friendship Nations Group. Hasanistan had originally joined the organisation on 7 August 2025, after signing a treaty establishing mutual recognition with the State of Samizdat. The Micronational Friendship Games is a virtual sports event, with this edition having featured football, table tennis, boxing, bowling, volleyball and basketball. The event was held over the month of June. Notably, the host of the event was an anthropomorphic chilli pepper called the "Silly Chilli".
Hasanistan participated in three events in the Friendship Games and earned a medal in each one, a gold medal in table tennis, a bronze medal in boxing and a silver medal in bowling. Hasanistan finished fourth in the overall medal table, which was topped by the event's "overall winner" Selaris Empire who had achieved four goal medals and one silver medal.
