The Mejlis of Hasanistan has successfully passed the "Anime Protection Act 2020" which prohibits citizens from insulting, mocking or attacking anime with the risk of severe punishment by state authorities. The Act, proposed by Naib-i-Şehinşah and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar, was passed by two votes in support, one in opposition, no abstentions and one absent voter. However, Naib-i-Şehinşah assured citizens that the threat of firing squad is only a deterrent and will not be used except in the most extreme cases of insulting certain anime shows and characters.

Hasanistan suspends all treaties with Nedland; ends bilateral relations

The Government of Hasanistan has made the decision to suspend its treaties and bilateral relationship with the "Khanate of Nedland", including revoking recognition of Nedland as a sovereign state. The decision came following the departure of dual Nedlandic-Hasanistani citizen Natsuki Hegro from Hasanistan. Hegro has also been declared expelled for violating Hasani law, for advocating for monarchism within Hasanistan.

Hasanistan and Nedland first set up ties on 7 July 2016, and re-established diplomatic ties under the current Hasani regime following independence from Montescano on 28 April 2020. The two were also within a union together in 2017, when Hasanistan was part of Nedlando-Khorașan.

Mejlis votes down controversial dual citizenship law

The Mejlis has voted against a controversial reform to dual citizenship which would have restricted citizens from holding citizenship in only two unrecognised states and "micronations" (including Hasanistan), which had been proposed by Naib-i-Şehinşah and Prime Minister Hasan Çakar. It also allowed exceptions to be made by the government and courts, allowing certain citizens to have more than two non-macronational citizenships. The reform was rejected by 3 in opposition 2 in support and no abstentions.

Hasan Çakar: "I trust the plan of Q"

Today, in a shocking statement, Hasanistani head of state and government Hasan Çakar declared he 'trusted the plan' of the anonymous conspiracy theorist known as QAnon. QAnon is a theory about an alleged clique of globalists attempting to rule the world. He stated that Hasanistani citizens must also show their support for Q by voting for him in November's upcoming elections.

His statement was as follows:

"I am officially announcing that I am not only a supporter of QAnon, but I am also part of the plan and I will end the corrupt globalist deep state. The deep state run by George Soros, Edward Jacobs, Manolis Tsampongilou, Ivan Brienovich, Natsuki Hegro, Barack "Hussein" Obama the Kenyan and Jeffrey Epstein funds the Satanic GUM and is behind evil people like Hillary Clinton and Thomas Bainbridge. There is even proof that Q predicted the recent banning of the leader of Hasanistan's allies by deep state agent Adam I of 'Adammia' (a notorious globalist who supports the Sorosian European Union) on a website that shall not be named, more proof of his wisdom. I call on my supporters to trust the plan of QAnon by voting for me, sending a message to these globalists that they will never run Hasanistan. Where we go one, we go all!"

Note to Google (15/01/2021): This article was satirical. Batyr Times and Hasanistan do not endorse QAnon.
