Song festival to be held to commemorate Hasanistani tenth anniversary

A song festival and competition will be held on 11 September, four days after the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Hasanistan, to commemorate Hasanistani culture and musical tastes. The event, known as Turanfest, is inspired by the Swedish Melodifestivalen. It will hosted by the former Hasanistan Radio and Television Organisation, which has is in the process of being revived under the name "Voice of Hasanistan". The festival will also serve as Hasanistan's national selection for a song in the Winter 2022 TVB Microvision Song Contest (its second iteration), hosted this year in Pinang and organised by the national broadcaster of Belcity. The winner of the competition will participate as Hasanistan's representatives. The runner-up may also participate in a Summer edition later in 2022, if it is organised and if Hasanistan still believes that the event is active.

Between 15 and 16 songs are planned to be performed and compete in Turanfest. Not all of the songs are by Hasanistani artists, rather they were songs which were recommended by Hasanistani citizens. Notable songs this year will include a return of "Oppan Hasanistan Style" (a song which participated in a 2013 Microvision organised by the World Union), as well as new songs "Sneed's Feed and Seed" and "Ik Ben Turk (Nightcore Remix)". There are also some "surreal" entries and some songs are considered controversial.

More details about the festival will be revealed prior to its beginning, such as the voting system and the official logos. It has been confirmed that a recorded broadcast will be produced and uploaded online to be viewed, although it will not be hosted on YouTube or the Hasanistani blog due to potential copyright concerns and controversial nature of some of the songs. Live viewers from Hasanistan, Konraq, other Batyr Bloc states and Pavlov will be allowed to vote in the festival's "televoting". It was considered but rejected to allow viewers from other Microvision contestants to vote, but it was considered a potential disadvantage to let rivals in the competition decide Hasanistan's song.

Other events will be held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Hasanistan, although these will yet to be revealed. No physical event has been planned this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Hasanistan will supports its citizens and foreign friends to commemorate the event privately. President Hasan Çakar states that he hopes to host physical events next year to commemorate the eleventh anniversary and tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Hasanistani website instead, if the pandemic has ended by then.
