Yesterday, the Pavlovian Senate approved a motion to suspend its current bilateral agreements with Hasanistan as well as Richensland which was requested by Hasanistan in anticipation of the abdication of Pavlovian Emperor Iskender IV. This has ended the Socius Agreement between Hasanistan (as well as Richensland) and Pavlov, ending their associated status as well as the personal union of their thrones. It should noted despite his abdication from the Pavlovian throne, the former Emperor has still retained the title of Roman emperor and is still Shahanshah in Hasanistan.
Although the socius agreement has been ended, the act was not done out of hostility but rather interest to establish a new relationship after the abdication of the former Pavlovian Emperor. Hasanistan hopes to establish a new bilateral relationship with Pavlov. The Hasanistani government has also praised the new Emperor of Pavlov Ivan VII and wishes his reign well.
The motion was passed by the Pavlovian Senate by five votes in support, two abstentions and no opposition.
