Hasanistan withdraws from League of Asian Micronations

The Mejlis Hasanistan has voted to withdraw Hasanistan from the League of Asian Micronations, by approving the LAM Withdrawal Act 2020, in a vote that concluded today. The vote was passed by 3 in support, 0 abstensions, 0 opposition and 1 absent voter. Hasanistan immediately left the organisation upon the enacting of the decision, with the General-Secretary of LAM being informed before the public announcement of the decision.
Hasanistan joined the organisation in May. However, the decision to withdraw has been made because of recent infighting and LAM not being as active as Hasanistan hoped, as well as rumours that other major members had also planned the LAM. However, Hasanistan will still continue to maintain close ties with member states even after it leaves.
The full act can be read here.

About us

Hasanistan, officially the Federal Republic of Hasanistan (Hasani: Hasanistan Federal Jumhuriyeti), is a self-proclaimed state with territorial claims situated across the Greater Middle East region. Hasanistan has been described as a micronation or an alternative government by external observers due to its lack of international recognition and the minimal control over the regions it holds territorial claims upon.
