Hasanistan has announced its secession from the Great Turan State and the re-establishment of the country's independence. Yesterday, Başbuğ Hasan Çakar requested and was granted permission by the Monarch of the Great Turan State to enact a cordial seperation. The Başbuğ has stated that the secession was motivated by the inactivity of the wider Great Turan State and a desire to decide a new future for Hasanistan. Hasanistan will secede as the "State of Hasanistan", with its historical territories.
Hasanistan had been part of the Great Turan State since March 2022, after the then-Shura Mejlis approved a decision to re-organise into its predecessor the Exalted Gurkani State, in March 2022. However, the new entity had largely been inactive for the past three years. Hasanistan had increasingly been moving towards self-governance last year, such as moving towards establishing an autonomous "National Region" and reconvening the Mejlis, although it did not originally plan to secede until the past week.
The State of Hasanistan will be governed by a Provisional Government under a "Temporary Basic Law", which can be read here. Out of respect for His Imperial Majesty Daniyal, Hasanistan's historic links with the Great Turan State and its spiritual predecessors and a show of continued friendship, Hasanistan will not dissolve the Shahdom or the royal institutions (such as the Royal Family) and instead continue to recognise him and his title as the "spiritual and cultural leader of the Hasanistani people". However, other forms of nobility including Hasan Çakar's Başbuğ title will be abolished. President of the Divan Chase Mahoning shall become "Acting President of the State of Hasanistan" and will be the new head of the state, while Hasan Çakar will become the Acting Prime Minister. The Mejlis will function in an advisory capacity to the Provisional Government for the duration of its existence. All laws and bye-laws of the Great Turan State and the former Hasanistani provinces shall apply at the discretion of the Provisional Government. This provisional period shall end upon the enactment of a new constitution.
