His Majesty Shahanshah Iskender enacted a Royal Edict stating the creation of a provisional government under current Prime Minister Hasan Çakar, that legislative elections shall be held in 5 February 2020, and granted noble titles to significant individuals. The Royal Edict is the first of His Majesty's rule.
Numerous individuals were given noble titles: Krištof von Drakon was made Beglerbeg of Köktuğluk, Shady Morsi was made Beglerbeg and Viceroy of Ardajan, Mirza Biessot du Hommer-Feschotte-Böçkün was made Khan of Northern Hasanistan and Natsuki Hegro made Beg of Nun.
The provisional government has been established with the stated purpose of maintaining stability and the rule of law, defending the territorial integrity of Hasanistan and managing the transition into the new constitutional system until elections have been held. The members of the government aside from Prime Minister Çakar are: Krishtof von Drakon, Natsuki Hegro and Shady Morsi. It shall exist until 6 February 2020, after the inauguration of the new elected government.
The elections for the representatives of sanjaks (formerly municipalities) within the Mejlis has been scheduled for 5 February 2020. This election will be the first legislative election in Hasani history and the second non-presidential election after the 2013 Batyr prime election. The vote will use the simple "first-past-the-post" system, with votes of confidences held in seats with only candidates rather than competitive elections. Campaigning and registration of candidates may begin tomorrow, and ends on 2 February 2020.
The edict also banned political parties opposed to the monarchist system, prohibiting them from standing candidates. This may have been targeted towards the Progressive Party, although they have not indicated any intent against the monarchy as of yet.
