Hasanistan becomes observer in the Micronational Assembly

Hasanistan has become an observer state within the Micronational Assembly. Hasanistan's application for observership was approved on 8 December, where five member states present during the vote approved the proposal without any opposition.

Acting Prime Minister Hasan Çakar has stated that Hasanistan hopes for proactive engagement with the organisation and the enhancement of ties with its member states. The provisional govenment of Hasanistan has recently sought observer status in some notable intermicronational organisations to expand its diplomatic influence and end a period of alleged "international isolation" that the country has experienced. However, Hasanistan has ruled out full membership in any "large-scale micronational organisation" until the provisional government has completed the ongoing political transition.

Hasanistan to participate in the 2025 MOF Intergames

Hasanistan has confirmed that it will participate in the upcoming 2025 Intergames, an eSports event organised by the Micronational Olympic Federation (MOF). Hasanistan had previously sent a "cylete" (cyber athlete) to the MOF's main eSports Games event in the summer of this year, where the nation earned one gold medal.

Only one Hasanistani cylete will be taking part in the Intergames, 2025 eSports Games agar.io gold medallist Hasan Çakar. He plans to take part in most of the events, which include chess and the new event mancala. Agar.io, the event in which Hasanistan won its first medal, is not planned to be held as an event in the Intergames. Hasanistan hopes to build upon its success in the 2025 summer event, aiming to win three medals including one gold.

The 2025 Intergames will be hosted by the Empire of Austenasia and will start with the opening ceremony on 24 November 2025. There will be seven events, including two exhibition events.

Hasanistan comes second in 2025 Microvision

Hasanistan's entry "We Are the People" by the Australian band Empire of the Sun has come second-placed in the IBU Microvision Song Contest 2025, receiving a total score of 67 from the other national juries. They had previously qualified as the national entry after their victory in the Turanfest song festival earlier this year. They were only beaten by Arlandica's entry "Sé Quién Soy" by Angy Fernandez, which received 73 points. Todia came close in third place, whose entry "Moon" by Palina (ft. Ketevan) received 65 points.

The results for this year's edition of Microvision, hosted by Belcity, had been released yesterday. The event had originally been planned to have been finished in May, although organisational delays led to the event being completed this month. A total of eleven micronations participated, although one country (Northway) was eventually disqualified due to a failure to submit valid jury votes.

Official results of the IBU Microvision 2025

The Hasanistani entry received two 12 points from Brennonia and Todia, 8 points from Versmark, three 7 points from Arlandica, Belcity and Ikerlandia, two fives points from Lekronia and Slitronia, and 4 points from Pinang. The Hasanistani jury score distributed its points as follows: 12 to Brennonia, 10 to Belcity, 8 to Lekronia, 7 to Arlandica, 6 to Ikerlandia, 5 to Todia, 4 to Slitronia, 3 to Versmark and 2 to Pinang. It should be noted that the votes were adjusted due to Northway's disqualification, which (alongside the number of participants) resulted in no 1 points being awarded in this edition.

The performance of the Hasanistani entry in this year's Microvision was a significant improvement over its last participation attempt in 2022, where the country came last in semi-final round and did not reach the final. The second-placed finish has raised hopes that Hasanistan could win the next edition of Microvision.

The winning country Arlandica will host the next edition of Microvision, as per the tradition of the event. The Hasanistani national broadcaster HBY has stated it intends to participate in the next Microvision and is willing to provide any support to Arlandica in organising the event, who it has also congratulated on their victory. The HBY has also thanked Belcity for a "successful hosting and restart" of Microvision, which has ended the two year hiatus since the last Microvision in 2022.
